What makes a great website?

When making a great website, it's important that the client knows their audience and the key messages that they want to convey using a website. It must be well organized, engaging, well-thought-out content strategy, intuitive navigation, and responsive design. Whether a new design or reorganization of a site, you must include a deliberate visual hierarchy paired with other graphical elements—such as more vibrant colors, images, typography, consistent layout, and branding that would grab the user's/visitors attention quickly and keep it.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

1. What is the mission of your company, values and what are you trying to convey? Are you selling a product, establishing a new company, or calling attention to a human interest?
2. What type of project are you interested in? [Brand Development, Web Design, Graphic Design, Video, Media Relations, Social Media]
3. Deadline desired
4. Budget for services
5. Do you have the assets for the work? [i.e content, images, logo, etc]

What do you love most about your job?

What I love most about my job is that every day, I get to help our clients educate, empower, promote health and wellness, bring about social change and justice, and create opportunities for hope, brighter futures and so much more. Whether it's a small flyer to ceremony production with videos it's my opportunity to share my craft and talent with my clients.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I started my business to help the small businesses achieved success. I always said, "you don't have to spend a million to look like a million". If you don't know how to market your business you have a good chance of not being around long. It's important that your brand is complete with strong marketing language, logo design, effective materials to complete in business.

Why should our clients choose you?

Our CEO and Creative Director, Kimberly is a seasoned brand strategist and graphic designer with 25 years of demonstrating success in promoting and managing campaigns for nonprofits, membership associations, colleges and universities, politicians and governing bodies, government agencies, corporations and entertainment companies. Starting out as an independent contractor for the Department of Labor, Edelman PR Worldwide and freelancing with several organizations, Kimberly has provided conceptual design input on several major projects. Creating her brainchild Conceptual in 1993 allowed her more creative liberty to hone and expand her graphic, web and multimedia design capabilities.

For more than 20 years, Kimberly has formed partnerships to position her company as an in-house design agency with several nonprofits and associations, as well as General Services Administration (GSA) consulting firms to work on major federal contracts.
