I was searching for a workout that could fit into my schedule, where I could be held accountable, be challenged, and maybe meet some new people. I was intimidated to try CrossFit, I didn’t think I was the “type”. I’m so grateful that I found AllKine! Mark and Joanna use a proven Level method that treats each of us as an individual. We are all working at our own levels but we are all pushing ourselves equally hard. Like most people, I wasn’t aware that CrossFit focuses on all areas of fitness: strength, flexibility and endurance and this well-rounded approach is getting me in the best shape of my life. Let me start off by saying, before i started going to All Kine i knew nothing about cross fit. I remember my first day, i walked in and had no clue what i was getting myself into. That was a year ago, fast forward to today, i'm extremely happy that i made the decision to join All Kine. Mark & Joanna are the best coaches & is very welcoming. I have to be honest, I was a crossfit skeptic when I walked into All Kine Crossfit for the first time. As a bodyworker, I have seen many clients on my table dealing with over-training injuries from doing crossfit workouts. I'm happy to report after working out with Mark, Joanna and all the coaches at All Kine for over three months now, I'm a convert! If you're new to crossfit, they start you off with a few fundamentals classes to get you familiar with the workouts and to figure out what "level" you're in. Then, you only work out according to your current level so you don't overwork and get injured. Mark and Joanna are super knowledgeable on body mechanics and alignment and they're incredibly supportive of you working out to your level. Also, the community is so awesome! From the very start all Kine CrossFit is very welcoming and smiles all around! We are all working towards common fitness goals and it’s community is solid. The coaches are the best super friendly and knowledgeable. I always come in excited to do a wod and finish better than I did before. Maui Crossfit Extreme is the place to be! When I first started my crossfit journey I told myself I was only going to do it for 3-6 months (until I dropped weight). However after 6 months I was hooked. It no longer became about my weight but about my strength. I found the courage to continue due to the support and guidance through not only the amazing owners (Staci and Lisa) and coaches but with all the other athletes. The support, encouragement and the push that everyone gives you to become a stronger athlete is incredible. The other benefits is definitely an added bonus which includes self defense classes, yoga, open gym and different challenges through out the year. Two years later and I'm still here. -Andrea Just wanted to update my review I am now a member for 4 years and still going strong. Since becoming a member I have learned a lot about my nutrition through Crossfit which is just an added bonus to my health. The AKCF 'Ohana is absolutely one of the best and greatest things to be a part of. It is a community, a family, a tribe. If you are anything like me, someone that was so intimidated by CrossFit, this box is a real eye opener. This 'Ohana is made up of "All Kine" individuals, but all working towards the same goals. the encouragement, the passion, the confidence and will power radiates from every individual who comes here. The owners, Mark & Joanna are a truly gifted couple, to be able to touch lives, every single day. My husband and I joined about 2 months ago as part of a 6 Week Challenge. Aside from the aspect of CrossFit, nutrition was the biggest component to our transformation. We were provided recipes, learned about macros while via app, Mark & Joanna were able to track with us our nutrition and eating habits. Not only were we accountable for ourselves, but they, also, held us accountable. We learned to make better food choices and gained the will power to resist the things that continue to tempt us day in and day out. We learned about more nutritious choices vs empty macros or calories. We learned about tracking Macros and the long term effect that it has to KEEP the weight off. It is a slow and steady process but absolutely worth it. I will recommend AKCF, always. You will NOT regret wanting to be apart of this 'Ohana.
