She took such care over our ceremony script, even with a tall order of it not being too wedding-like as we got married the year before (covid scuppered our big reception, hence why we had it this year.)
She wrote the most beautiful story about how we met, and had all the laughter and tears from our guests! She went to great lengths to get it just right, writing a short piece about our rings, not to give or receive them but about what they symbolised in our marriage already and for the future. After working in the NHS for forty plus years, the idea of becoming a celebrant was suggested by a few friends . Public speaking was part of my role and I thought I would carry that (and other skills acquired through nursing) forward - and here we are! Meeting couples and helping them tell their story, creating a ceremony and then delivering it is an honour - (cheesy? maybe - but true!)

The personal, face to face approach is usually a much preferred way to establish a real connection, but if the only option is via a phone call or on line meeting , then we will certainly try and make that work. The ceremony will be in person though!.
