A 2 year college course took me to my first junior position, over the next 6 years I passed through a number of Advertising Agency creative departments finishing as a Creative Director in a Birmingham based agency.

Went to a wedding reception. Fairly large room with a large dance floor. DJ was amazing, food was amazing as it was a hot buffet. Staff soon cleared the plates & glasses. Drinks reasonable, would go again & would recommended.

My son got married here and from the very start the whole occasion was excellent. The staff went all out to make sure everyone was catered for. They were friendly, helpful and attentive while also being very professional in there approach. The venue itself gives anyone the opportunity to relax, stand, dance or just mill about between the different rooms rather than all be in one big room and having loud music constantly playing. The grounds are gorgeous and well looked after as is the building itself and the level of detail in the woodwork within is incredible. For sure we will as and when required use this venue again and will definately recommend it to anyone else. Our thanks to all for making the whole occasion one to remember for all the right reasons.
Nice bar and lovely cocktails, bar man ( guy with beard and glasses working about 7pm )was very helpful especial as we were not from around here, had the football on but no issue even though I don’t watch it wasn’t too loud where you couldn’t hear yourself just perfect

Attended the Bridal Masterclass today, was not quite sure what to expect, but was really surprised at how useful it was.
All the questions Bride and Grooms have to ask vendors, however all the vendors are in one room, so it speeds up the whole process.
So couples benefit from not only their questions, but others they may not have thought about from other couples also.
Vendors including myself (Lensi Photography) as one, probably also gave more information about the industry and how to make your decisions about suppliers, than we would in dedicated 121 meetings.
A very unique way of couples getting the information they need to plan their wedding, instead of or in additional to wedding fayres.
The last presenter were a couple who had been happily married for over 30 years, sharing the advice on successful happy marriages, which was enlightening.
A great move in planning your big day for any bride and groom to be, and a great idea from Alternative Events.
Vicky was a huge help with organising my 40th birthday party. She had fantastic recommendations for catering, entertainment and decor. Her dedication to make my party special and stress free was greatly appreciated. Vicky set up the venue, liaised with the managers, ran the party smoothly so that I had no worries and cleaned round at the end. If you are planning a special occasion then having Vicky help is no bad thing.
Everyone should use Perfect Marquees for their event. Chris and his team are the most helpful and friendly people you could hope to deal with and the marquee surpassed all our hopes and expectations. Our only disappointment was that he took it down afterwards; we loved it so much we wanted to keep it! Roll on our son's 21st in 2 years time ! Anne and Jim Lavery
