I wanted a quote for some doors and a window. The salesman came as arranged, and took some measurements. He then told me i was expected to be available for the next two hours at least, for the remainder of the appointment. I couldn't believe it, i thought he'd just take the measurements in a 10-minute appointment and go back to his office and email me a quote. But he said the whole quoting process is done in the home sat in front of me with his laptop, and i'd have to go through all manner of presentations. He said he'd ring his boss and make sure it was okay not to sit in my living room for two hours but to email the quote instead, and his manager said over the phone that they would be willing to make this rare exception. I couldn't believe it, it was like something from the 1970s. Who has time to sit through such an old-fashioned appointment nowadays for the sake of a few windows. I also found it strange that he had to ring his manger 3 times during the appointment. He also said that due to the exceptional circumstances - of me not wanting him in my house for 2 hours - that i would have to make an appointment to come into the showroom for whatever torture session he had planned for me, and proceeded to phone his boss - again. I told him i didn't want to book to come into the showroom just yet, to look at the product, i just wanted a price, please....!! To date i still haven't had a price, and i've chased twice by email. I don't know if i've been labelled as some kind of time-waster as i didn't want this man to hard-sell me for a period of 2 hours. How unusual to want to do this in this day and age. People are busy, and want things done quickly and efficiently. I've given them two stars and not one, as they generally have good reviews, so they must be doing something right, and they've been about in the area forever. But they're not for me i'm afraid. Jason was very knowledgeable but I only wanted a quote on the day but after a 2 hour visit I ended up feeling very pushed into making a decision there and then, after multiple times of saying no I wouldn't make a decision without my partner present I still felt very pressured or else apparently I wouldn't get any discount at all. I think it was a good price but I didn't like the way I was constantly being pushed to make a deposit and make a decision on the spot which unfortunately now is the reason I decided not to use this company. Unfortunately, our experience with T + K Home Improvements as unpleasant from start to finish. Firstly, their sales assistant promised we could have dual colours inside and out, however, this was not the case as this was only available on a very limited range of colours, not what we had specifically asked for. Secondly, we were told they manufactured all their products themselves. This proved to be untrue as they were 3 weeks late doing the first instalment because they said the doors hadn’t arrived on time! Thirdly, they arrived late to install only to find that they had ordered the wrong windowsill so they could not complete the install. Yet another 3 week wait! The installers, to be fair, were excellent. However, as soon as they finished the sales team demanded full payment of the outstanding balance immediately or they would not release the warranty. Very aggressive and bullish behaviour. They gave us no time to check the quality of the install. We challenged the payment of the full balance because of the wait we had to endure, and, the inconvenience of having to take extra days off work to accommodate their incompetences. We withheld 4% , very reasonable we thought considering the trouble we had been put through. Their response was to threaten to take us to court. We just paid up in order to finish any dealing with this company. Really not an effective way to do business. Please save yourself time and effort by not dealing with this company. It's been a few months since T&K helped my parents with their double glazing. They did an amazing job and no issues with their doors and windows so far. The price was really reasonable. Now the house looks stunning and they finally don't have to worry about the winter months. The team were really patient and fantastic with my parents who are elderly and can't speak English well. T&K have done an excellent job replacing our Conservatory roof. Showroom is a pleasure to walk round with lots of help from the sales team. The Salesman was very helpful and guided us in the right direction as did the Surveyor when he came to measure up. The fitting team were very methodical and did an excellent job despite the problems incurred by the electrician which the fitting team put right and arranging for a plasterer to finish off. Worst experience. Lack of communication a real negative. Someone sells it as a family small firm, so a personal service, but when they don't turn up, it is because they are small. No prior notice of failure to attend. Paid 22k for a product which they started in September and still not resolved. Bricks could not be sourced, even though our house is only 6 years old. I had to take that part of the project on myself. They offer work around as they can't provide what they promised. I went to see T&K (Jorden) and from the start it was easy, i explained i wanted a quote with dimensions i had, Jorden took his time to show the amazing showroom layout, different window openings and glazing styles, also offered a factory tour, he quoted the next day enabling me to order immediately. (week before Christmas). Survey was done the same week, Damian explained everything and made sure everything was clear and as expected. Everything was fitted just weeks later (last week of January), the installers arrived bang on time and very polite, they covered all the floors and cleaned up well. Really bad service, I RECOMMEND NOT TO GO TOWARDS THIS COMPANY. They installed the windows and door, called, emailed various of times, about the gaps in my windows and doors, and also about the windows and door getting stuck, window handles not fitted on properly and everything just look like a big MESS, NOT WORTH THE MONEY. 😠

The builders were awful and we complained about them to T&K but they didn't do anything about it. There was a leak that took them several visits over THREE YEARS to find and put right. Now there is mould between two panes, the lagging is non-existent, and there is water pouring into the conservatory when it rains. I have left messages to get back to me, but they are being ignored. This is the company whose representative first asks about your budget and then gives you the maximum price for your budget. The meeting with the representative was mildly nice because the adviser made me feel a slight contempt for not being British. Besides, the representative did not have his business card or brochures. This company contacted me through my BARK request for someone to repair a leak in my glass conservatory / Home extension . Transpires they don’t do repairs despite listing conservatory roof repairs on their website .
What they intimated they would do was either sell me a complete new roof 8.5 x 3 m to replace my 99% perfect double glazed high impact low U V high spec German roofing panels rather than repair one panel that had slipped but requires a specialist to relocate and secure .Or a whole new conservatory .So saying they do repairs appears to be a method of luring the unsuspecting into buying some thing that’s totally unnecessary.Sharp practice in my opinion .Please remove the repair option from your website More...

We were looking to borrow from the bank to change our single glazed windows. We had contacted loads of rip off windows companies before we found T&K. We decided to give them a try after reading positive reviews about them online. Their sales rep was completely different to the reps of other companies. He was straightforward, honest and to the point without waisting ours and his time. Their quote was quite reasonable. Also they have different payment options. One of which is interest free finance which was really suitable for our circumstances. We accepted their quote. They gave us around 16 weeks for the installation but it only took them around 12 weeks to install and complete the job. Overall it went very smooth and we are very pleased with the quality of their product and work. Based on my experience I found them professional in every area and very nice and pleasent people to work with. I won't hesitate to recommend them and use them again to do my conservatory.
