TJK Cheltenham

My son isn’t the most confident and suffers with anxiety especially around new people, starting lessons was a big struggle and has really made Cameron push himself. Andy, Al and Wes have been really supportive not just in encouraging Cameron but also helping me to know what he’s feeling better. Competitions and seminars are lots of fun and although we have struggled to get Cameron through the door to compete before the team always give him time, come over and make sure he feels the best he can and support him during the events. Cameron often doubts himself but he continues to be supported and encouraged to move up belts. When your teachers believe in you, you start to believe in yourself that little bit more. My son and daughter both really enjoy their lessons with the fabulous team.I love the interaction they get with children who are from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and abilities. It is an all round class with the children being taught how to look after themselves both physically and mentally.If you get the chance to listen to Sensei give the kids one of his pep talks I can assure you that you too will feel inspired! My son started TJK in October 2019,he started with lack of confidence and would say he couldn’t do something straight away. Within a few wks his confidence blossomed so much at TJK and noticed with his teachers at school with his confidence /learning(they couldn’t believe the change.) I’ve stayed for a few classes and have to say it’s highly professional,extremely fun and life skills building. What a great club! I couldn't recommend them enough, it's a fun, friendly and encouraging environment.
