Fabulous room. We stayed in The Dale suite. We tried the 7 course tasting menu. It was fabulous. Delicious food. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be coming back.

Our daughter and son-in-law held their wedding reception at Tickton in February and we really couldn't praise them more highly, everything went very smoothly, the food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We also stayed over at the hotel after the wedding so can confirm that the beds are extremely comfortable and the quality of the breakfast (especially the poached eggs) was impressive. More...

We went for afternoon tea today for my mum‘s birthday.
Service was impeccable and the food absolutely gorgeous. We were made to feel very welcome and very comfortable.
Lovely place, staff and the owner was very friendly and introduced himself to us. Would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back!

Poor management - ruined our engagement meal 3 weeks prior to the main event. We had booked this in early September initially.
Had I have contacted just a week prior to the event the situation would have been even worse than it is now. Not only have I had to cancel the event, I’ve lost several hundreds of £‘s on top that I had spent on decor / entertainment / cake etc…
I don’t like to complain about businesses because I understand the effects it can have, however the communication at this place has been nothing short of diabolical and the owners need to know. The event menus are misleading, the website was out of date when we booked and were ushered to new rules having to pay to use the area etc… was not told about having to choose one choice on the set menu for everybody, the wording on the menu PLUS on the OLD menu we were looking at is totally misleading. They then attempted to be ‘ accommodating’ by allowing us to have 2 choices of each course despite different conversations we had had on the phone with management. But the chef didn’t want to serve beef & chicken? You’ve left me with total embarrassment to all my guests, not only having to go back to them once to change their menu choices but to now tell them it’s cancelled because you couldn’t accommodate what you agreed on the phone yesterday. I also spoke to a girl on reception on Monday who didn’t confirm I had to pick one set menu for every guest either. Such a shame and you have lost out on a spend of around £2K minimum due to the volume of people going.
