Had my daughter's birthday party here in December, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The girls enjoyed their bowling (the lanes got jammed a couple of times but it was very quickly rectified) and we had use of one of the party rooms for food. We had to ask for drinks in the room and a cake knife but there was always someone around to assist. The kitchen wasn't open yet so they ordered Domino's for us, there was plenty to go round! Party bags were provided which was a lovely extra. Nice to have the opportunity to support an independent business after Superbowl or whoever owned the place before let it go to ruin, they are obviously ploughing any profits back into gradually making it a nice place to go again. After a bad start due to incorrect info on the website ( no food, and the booking I made for unlimited bowling in a 2 hr slot was not available) the Manager (? ) was AMAZING and could not have tried harder to make our visit a good one. I’ve just had my sons 4th birthday party here and it couldn’t have gone smoother. Rebecca is so helpful and the kids loved her, they literally couldn’t have done more and were very attentive. The party bags were fab, all the kids were thrilled and they even got a complementary ice pop as it was such a hot day. I visited it today with my brother-in-law and nieces. We all had a great time! I understand that it is under new management and was previously in a state of some neglect. It does still feel a little dated and the balls have seen some wear and tear but having chatted to the super friendly staff, this is something that will be rectified soon. There’s a definite sense of positivity and a strong desire to get the place up to top notch in the near future. I’d still say that families and kids will have a great time as it is now. Yes, it’s a little dated but clean and as far as I could tell, all the lanes were working. In fact, having heard the laser quest will be open from tomorrow, I think we’ll be back for that! More...

Me and Keith, have been practicing now for the last few weeks, and it's always nice to be bowling on a fresh pattern which they do for us.
Also a lot of changes in the centre, it's starting to look really good.

Just been to The Rec on the spur of the moment to go bowling and I’m so impressed. The machinery works now because they’ve had it all serviced!
The customer service was great as was the plans for constant review and improvement of the facilities.
I met one of the new owners, Graham, and had a good chat with him about their ongoing plans and I’m really looking forward to visiting again for the comedy and live music.
I’m also hoping that on my next visit I don’t get beaten by a 4 year old. More...
