Just had the best overnight stay at The Old Ship, inclusive package was just as good, if not better, than it sounded (which doesn’t happen often! !). Lovely food, great rooms, very friendly staff and fab cocktails!!! Will definitely be back!! More...

What an absolute star Grant and Paul on the might desk are. My French cousin arrived late at night following an EasyJet cancellation causing all sorts of upset. Not speaking much English we had to check her in and translate over messenger. Grant made sure she was checked in, and he even took the trouble of taking to her room and ensured she had everything she needed. I cannot thank him or praise him enough. You my friend are a star. Thank you for a wonderful honeymoon stay. The added personal touches made the stay all the more special. Your team were all welcoming and helpful and the room had a perfect sea view. This wasn't our first stay and it will continue to be somewhere we choose. More...

At nearly £200 per night for a sea view room booked because the marathon runs out the front it would have been nice if somewhere in the description of the room it said “please be aware you will be kept awake all night by drunken people outside and music blasting from nearby clubs” The rooms are dated and not the cleanest, next time we will just use a premier inn… you know you are getting a standard for half the price. I have checked the website as I was told the information about the rooms being noisy is on there, if it is it’s not easy to find. My other half will be running a marathon tomorrow on no sleep. Overall perception - a quaint yet intriguing and delight stay, could do with renovating. Still has an old yet modernised charm that I LOVE! A wonderful yet rustic feel, good set location, wonderful entertainment and food. Friendly and sophisticated staff, including my room. Better to say I feel rejuvinated when I stayed for a passionate time and a personal time so twice really xo My room had a stair well leading to deep set gorgeous bath. Interior design, traditional and welcoming slightly romantic and sensual yet tasteful. All maroon and white interiors mattress was a delight. Walls aren't sound proof though (passionately speaking.) *Wink* #brave sentence. Thanks guys really made me feel at home. You guys know your charm and character. More...

The hotel is in a great location, opposite the beach, near the pier and the lanes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. We last stayed here 5 years ago and the rooms are looking tired. We stayed in a deluxe double sea view room. We prefered the king-size sea view room which we had on our last stay. We had a great time and wish we could have stayed for longer. More...

Stayed there in January 2020 . Room with ocean view was great . Very clean but it took 2 weeks to get up to my room with the lift 🤣🤣 Even the weather was fine and sunny for the week 🤷♂️ I must have bought it with me from sunny old Perth in Western Australia . The beers were also cold which is Aussies need 💯 % 😜 More...
