Myself and my friend had high tea in the great room a few weeks ago, i should add that I’ve done so before, but not for a few years. Obviously we were expecting a really high standard of food and service, especially considering the price, (over £100 for the both of us). I was really disappointed with the food, the portion sizes were tiny, the scones were the size of a large egg! There were 4 sandwiches each, and the deserts were 1 mouthful. I realise the price of everything has risen substantially but clearly the focus is on massive profit and low customer satisfaction. The staff were ok, but just looked bored and fed up most of the time, few smiles and even less enthusiasm! So, in conclusion, this is definitely NOT the place to go if you are looking for anything exceptional, mediocre at best! Save your hard earned money and go to your local hotel where it’s almost certainly going to be an improvement! More...

Regular visitors here and would never stay anywhere else. As others have mentioned, it’s not only the stunning building and it’s architecture that takes your breath away but the simply superb staff. Whether you take a beautifully quirky Victorian suite in the ‘old’ side of the building or a swish Art Deco room on the more modern side you will be charmed. Special mention has to go to Erin, Jamal and Marta in the bar. Outstanding service, so friendly and so professional. Jade in the Great Room restaurant is truly the most welcoming host you could ever meet and nothing is too much trouble. Last but not least Sarah and Ella on reception, along with all the concierge, just make you feel like family. True beauty and class in the heart of Belfast! Used to be a bank. Now I know how they spent our money!😉 (Into the building itself! )😄 Besides the sheer "wow" factor, the best part was the staff itself. From the girl running the restaurant part to Lynn in hospitality, it was the people that convinced me, this is the place to stay. This is the place to visit.
