Great friendly hotel, staff was amazing and very helpful, food quality and choice excellent only down fall was the dinner had fries not proper chips with the meal ,would have not expect to have fries from a hotel with your high recommended reviews this is way I not gave you 5 star. Staff very friendly.We only had 2 small problems .Staff were quick and efficient at fixing these very small problems. Hotel room was tired however spotless. Plenty towels. Breakfast was Buffett.Plenty of choice. My husband and I would return to this hotel.Good value . More...

Stayed here for our visit to Lichfield for the Tom Jones concert in the park. Cannot praise this hotel enough. The staff are so friendly and nothing too much trouble. Had a lovely welcome and room was very clean and very comfortable. When we returned in early hours was made welcome to join Billy and friends in the bar. On arrival, we were greeted by 2 lovely lads Ryan & Dan. They really went all out to look after us. The room was clean & comfortable. The bar was warm & welcoming. Breakfast was great. Lovely hotel. Quick and efficient check in, clean rooms and excellent service. Returned to the hotel about 1am and they opened the bar especially for us. Only annoying thing was the shower. When you put it on it seemed to rise up and miss the bath and flood the bathroom floor. We where a group and had 3 rooms between us and my other family members said thiers did the same! Definitely deserves more than 3* I would say a decent 4* - we really appreciated the personal service. Breakfast was AMAZING and the champagne included was a lovely surprise. Overall would definitely return again but would like to not have to worry about flooding the bathroom. Thank you Cathedral Lodge for an enjoyable stay. More...
