I used the Technical Detail team to help with a planning application I was submitting in January 2019. They were super-responsive and, due to time pressures I had, they were able to turn the drawings (plans and elevations in my case) round in just two days. That even includes some minor amends I requested once I had seen the final drawings, which were completed immediately. If you need help with your architectural drawings, you could do a lot worse than get in touch with Tim and the team. More...

As a Professional Structural Engineer I work along with many Architects across the UK. I have been involved with multiple home conversion projects where Technical Detail is the principal designer and their style of presentation is clear, professional, and easy to work with. Where communication is required in order to clarify issues of concern, Tim at Technical Detail is exceptional.*Highly recommended*Warren Price B.Eng (Hons), CEng, FIMechEDiadem Structural Consultants Ltd. Describe your creative process.
Identifying and solving as many “constraints” as possible, early on.
We therefore need to have a "Polite Interrogation" of our clients to find out what their needs, wants & way of life are, along with details about the existing property, if any, as well as ideas of things they like the look of.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Name, address, email & mobile number are essential.
The address of the project along with preliminary ideas and also letting us know if any work or design has been done before is very helpful.
What do you love most about your job?
Solving problems and making people happy! We solve the design very early on, but it's not until it's nearly finished that the client gets to see the vision and is usually really happy, that moment is gold dust!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I noticed a lack of professionalism on smaller domestic projects, so starting mu own business was the only way I could see to fill this niche, to bring the professionalism from large corporate projects down to smaller domestic projects, facilitating a smoother faster timeline.
Why should our clients choose you?
We understand the issues that can cause difficulties and frustrations on a project and will design these out early. We are also very proactive and making sure we know what is current and future and how to pull this in cost effectively into any project.
We are also very nice people.
