Just finished having our garage converted into extra living space by Pete and his team. They did a very professional job and are very delighted with the finished results. They gave us a detailed quote clearly explaining everything and left nothing to guess work. They made the whole process simple from start to finish and were happy to accommodate any small changes we decided while the job was in progress. The team of Father and Son have been renovating my Garage!! I have had daily contact with Pete with regard's to my choice of Plan, Finishing's and Decor! ! The renovation itself is looking absolutely Top class!! The Material's and Plaster finish are of a high standard!! Both Pete and his Son Alex are very Friendly and approachable, and Interact in a Friendly and also Professional manner!! I cannot praise them enough for their expertise and Quality workmanship!! I'm absolutely delighted with the garage conversion Pete & Alex of SGC have just completed for us. Both were very professional right from the initial quote through to the end of the job. They have created a light & bright, much needed, additional space. Both Pete & Alex were lovely to deal with and kept us updated throughout the job. Pete & Alex have turned what was once a cold garage into an amazing industrial living space. The project started with me throwing ideas at Pete and I allowed him to run with them. The end result is amazing! The finish is to a high standard and nothing was too much trouble. A pleasure to deal with and stayed with in the original budget. SGC, simply fantastic, professional, family based skilled tradesmen. Pete, his son and small team are an absolute credit to the building and construction industry. Nothing was ever to much to ask for with these guys. From the very fist conversation, to the final handshake and a thank you. Very frustrating company. Peter came to provide me with a quote to part convert my garage in Feb 2021. I was blown away by his attention to detail and his price was very competitive. I agreed to go ahead with the works and he said he could fit me in mid March which I was delighted with. Most of the work was completed by 2 wonderful young men who I believe has since been fired. They were not given any details on my project and didn’t have any information on materials arrival etc, they were kept very much in the dark. We got through the build in a week mostly, and then came the pain of chasing up the window. I know there was a shortage of glass at this time and I understand this completely but this is when the long period of silence started. There was materials left and I wasn’t given any information on when my window would be available. I resorted to Facebook to get hold of his Son as I feared we would never get the window. We when to his registered address on companies house to try and get hold of him and finally I received a text. No call to apologise for not informing us for months just a text. Eventually the window came then come the long wait for the new garage door, which again I have to chase and chase with often long periods of silence. Peter had told me that the door company had let him down and he asked a new company to come and quote for my works. Luckily the company were fantastic and having heard my story gave me direct contact details so I would get updates. I am now 14 months on and the company have never returned to snag and still have not completed my building regulations. Peter only ever came to my house for the initial quote, he never returned despite telling me on numerous occasion that he would come. I have now got to make my own arrangement to ensure the work completed was done so safely and in line with regulations. More...

Ill keep this as short as possible. Shocking communication via Pete and my conversion started in September 2020,Im still awaiting final snagging after Pete requested a further 48hrs in May 2021. ..I sent a registered letter,numerous texts and emails and threatened to report to trading standards. Obviously Pete does not value Customer service. I had more excuses in 6 months from this company than ive had in my entire life.. Ive now had to instruct a seperate company to fix the faulty windows and damaged beading, All at my additional expense of £400. I also have had no building regulations certificate, something i paid Pete to apply and issue to me as part of the job 11 Months of stress and aggravation. STAY WELL AWAY!!! More...
