It was a while ago that i approached Jerry for mental health counselling and, having read some of the previous reviews, I needn't describe my experience, unfortunately everything has already been said. Fortunately I have, since then, found therapists much better equipped to deal with my condition in a non-judgmental manner but being a client of Jerrys represented a significant backstep in my journey. Was quite judgemental and rude for a therapist. Inappropriate really.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised, to see the other negative reviews here.
Jerry has the sensitivity and tact of a 4 year old.
After working with him, I feel I have taken a significant backstep in my ability to open up after his vile abuse of my confidence.
Being my first 'proper' therapist, I had no idea what to expect with Jerry and so only in hindsight do I realize how inappropriately he spoke to me, not to mention how rude he was when I requested to end the sessions.
Happy to say that I am now seeing someone new and the contrast is startling. At least any trauma that Jerry left me with represents more money in the bag for my new therapist (who absolutely deserves it!).
Please report Jerry through the official channels, if you can. It isn't safe that he continues his practice without some serious self-reflection/healing first.

I didn't think to leave a review for Jerry because I chose to not proceed with his services after the initial call but I recently recalled that exchange in a casual conversation with my clinician and thought "let me go see if anyone else has had a similar experience". I am unsurprised to read the reviews here.

When I spoke to Jerry I could barely get a word in edgewise. He chose to tell me my life story according to him, didn't let me correct factual inaccuracies in his assumptions, rattled off about spirituality and how I've found him for a reason, something along the lines of how I could manifest my psychiatric problems away, and so on. Fine, maybe some people prefer to take the spiritual route for lighter conditions. What was most shocking is the lack of boundaries about his own life. I didn't need to know his entire autobiography or hear his life story. There was more but honestly it was a very bizarre interaction at a time when in retrospect I could have fallen for it had I not previously had therapy in life and didn't know what to expect. To his detriment I had another initial chat with my current therapist almost right after and the contrast between the exchanges was astounding.

I have a quite serious condition that requires very careful, highly professional therapy to avoid exasperating mental and physiological symptoms. This can be challenging for even the most delicate psychotherapists. I can only imagine how it would have gone if I had chosen to pursue therapy with Jerry.

Particularly if you're seeking therapy for trauma from exposure to someone with cluster B personality disorders, steer well clear. While I'm not qualified to assess someone's mental health remotely, Jerry certainly adopted some rhetoric that was very close to the very rhetoric and style of communication that once created my trauma.

Not fit to treat anyone. Fit to become a cult leader if psychotherapy doesn't work out.

The above description reads: " our approach is gentle, compassionate and emphatetic" but in reality it's totally opposite. Jerry's approach is inconsiderate, unkind and judgmental.
Focused on pointing fingers and blaming.
Where did this man get the idea he is being helpful or therapeutic?
Can't recommend.

I found Jerry to be extremely judgemental and his approach to therapy felt very depersonalised and lacking of empathy. Throughout sessions, he would develop judgements about me and would then become very insistent that these were correct, despite my denial. He would pursue completely inappropriate or irrelevant things to the point where it made me feel very uncomfortable. When it did come to ‘solving minds’, his over reliance on ‘cookie-cutter’ exercises pulled from a handbook or online course was glaringly obvious and his failure to adapt his approach to my individual needs or desires left me feeling frustrated and unheard. Whilst I was a client, Jerry asked me to leave a review (which is entirely inappropriate as a therapist), so I gave him 5 stars. Of course I felt uncomfortable otherwise. I mention this to encourage potential clients to take these ‘5 star’ reviews with a pinch of salt.
Stay away from this man. He is not fit to be a therapist. He is extremely judgemental and clearly cannot overcome his own personal biases during sessions. His blatant abuse of my trust and confidence left me feeling very insecure. What’s more, he verbally abused a very close family member of mine! It hurts me to know that he is still able to call himself a therapist.

Unprofessional and rude "therapist". Jerry might have knowledge but he needs to work on bulding trust and safe space with his clients. He was very judgmental and arogant. He wasn't able to put aside his bias and prejudice which is quite shocking considering his clients will obviously come to him with some unbalanced behaviour patterns.
Jerry was patronising and focused on lecturing rather than guidance and introspection.
He wasn't listening and misunderstood a few things I said during the session, then argued with me that that is what I said.
The most suprising and unprofessional was the way he ended the session abruptly saying he will not work with me any longer.
He was confrontational and judgmental, condescending and rude.
I really regret opening up to him and wasting money.

Jerry has some serious self reflection and healing to do if he wants to pursue a career in psychotherapy. Throughout our sessions, it was clear that he was unable to look past his personal biases and I felt very judged as a result. Moreover, he was very rude when I decided to end the sessions and made comments which caused to me to feel very insecure, especially given his position. A brief exploration of Jerrys Facebook page should reveal immediate red flags, with posts saying, “gambling is a mugs game” or “if one is idiotic, stupid, and irresponsible enough to abuse [drugs]…”. While these do come across as judgemental, one post stands out in particular: “I was badly bullied by a parent of one of my clients based on something…i said to their ‘adult’ child…” and then proceeds to describe the parent as “one of the vilest human beings”. Initially I had a good phone assessment which lead to me opening up to Jerry and feeling quite good about booking in. However I was still a little skeptical for a few reasons, the phone was hung up on me without any explanation, then I finally got a call back saying a mother and daughter has a fight in his wife’s office and apparently this means I would just be hung up on as if not important. I let it go and thought he is still a qualified individual to speak to me about what I need help with. He did cross a boundary which I didn’t realise until afterwards when he had asked me my partners name and information about my partner that he knew I would share being vulnerable in the moment. He should not have asked as the phone call was primarily about me. At this point it has been around 40 minutes so I assumed I should give him a chance. Jerry said to me that I can call him anytime and sold me a can do positive attitude which I now see was just to reel me in as it soon stopped after exchanging a few very short voice notes which I thanked him for until I would be able to book in when time and money permit. When I got overwhelmed with work and didn’t write back Jerry kept asking me when I would book in which felt a little irritating as I said I would be in touch when I feel ready. This obviously angered Jerry as he then decided to tell me I can only speak to him when I pay for his time even though he initially said we could chat a little in the mean time and I had respected that by keeping it short (no longer than a few minutes voice note) the final thing I wanted to ask Jerry was during a 5 minute chat to update him and get some help on how we would start. This is when he showed his true colours. Keep in mind when looking for a therapist that when they admit to “taking things very personally” this is a RED FLAG. They will not be understanding of your condition no matter how much they sugarcoat it. I wish Jerry healing before he attempts to help other vulnerable individuals who believe he can help them. A family member was having sessions with Jerry for a quite some time but over the course of the past year, my family member became more withdrawn and less confident. Out of the blue recently, Jerry sent me a text message with a lot of judgmental, critical and unfair comments about my family member (his client!) which took me completely by surprise. His accusations were totally contradictory, crossed many ethical lines, and if were true, validated what a poor therapist Jerry was. He was incredibly insulting and extremely passive aggressive towards me. My family member stopped seeing him immediately and I am pleased to report has been in a much healthier state of mental health since then. I am only sorry the sessions continued so long needlessly and to the detriment of my family member. I cannot in good conscience recommend Jerry and am in fact concerned he might do the same to other clients what he did to us. More...

I left a one star review only for them to delete it. Appalling.
I believe solving minds have created a second page to hide poor reviews.
Even so, do not be swayed by the 5 star reviews. Jerry asked me to give him a review whilst i was still a client - of course i would feel uncomfortable giving honest, critical feedback.
I do not recommend Jerry.
Rude. Insecure. Judgemental.

So Jerry tried to help our daughter (who’s had mental health issues for years now) for several months but sadly for her - out of the blue (when she was in most need of support) he emailed her father to say he would no longer be her therapist…During a subsequent phone call he called me a narcissist! How saddened we are. We feel there is more to this.Just hope he doesn’t do this to you or your loved one. We only wished we’d asked how he would cope when things got difficult. More...
