What do you love most about your job?
We really enjoy the opportunity to make people’s working lives better, even in a small way. Working in HR can sometimes be hard – but it can also be immensely rewarding with the variety of work that we undertake each day. We like the fact that no day is ever the same and that we learn constantly. We are also lucky to get to interact with a variety of people in different industries.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We're both passionate and collaborative people and great at juggling a whole range of spinning plates, whilst at the same time, doing our best to support a company’s biggest asset – the people. Having worked at a larger company and going through mergers and acquisition, we found that smaller companies acquired, due to a number of factors, had little to no HR support. We want to be that HR team for those companies, offering friendly and professional support, a team of 2 for a fraction of the cost of hiring one person full time.

We’re using our knowledge and experience to support our Sense HR clients and we’d like to help make HR easy for you too. We worked together for a number of years at one of the UK’s largest pro-audio companies before joining forces to set up Sense HR.
We are highly skilled and have worked in HR and people management throughout our careers. There aren’t many HR challenges we haven’t faced, but we’re always happy to tackle a new one!
Working together in the fast paced, evolving and growing industries gave us experience in most employee life cycle challenges including working with sub-contractors, the IR35 laws, tier 5 immigration, mergers & acquisitions, TUPE, health & safety, formal and informal working practices (to name just a few!).
Working with forward thinking large companies and making a real difference to SME’s is our passion.

Yes, we are based in Birmingham and South London, but are happy to work with our clients remotely via teams / zoom apps. We are happy to travel to sites to meet our clients.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Having worked through covid and drafted and implemented covid related policies and procedures, we are well versed on the risks and control measures appropriate to keep customers safe from covid-19.
