Cat has been my PT for over 6 months now. After each session, I feel like I have worked hard and she really makes working out fun (even when I go in tired from a long day at work! ). Cat has pushed me further than I would have done myself and keeps pushing me to get fitter and stronger each week. Would definitely recommend Cat to anyone who is looking for a fantastic PT. More...

Tony has been training Me over 8 weeks now and we work on specific football based strength and conditioning, including plyometrics and football drills. It's fantastic I'm pushed to my max and I've become a stronger, more flexible player and also helping me back from injury!! Every session is different, every session gets harder , and my the result are fantastic, I've never felt as strong and as quick as I have in all the years I've been playing for CHELTENHAM town ladies, Gloucester city and forest green rovers. Tony has been inspiring and he has helped me realise my potential. I have achieved results I would never have thought possible before training with him. ..from 10ks to half marathons, commando challenge to tough guy and even a white collar boxing bout!! That was until 2013...... The end of 2013 saw me achieve my first full marathon!!!! Tony motivated me & made me realise anything is possible with the correct nutrition & programme...
2014 so far has seen PB's in 10k & half marathon times.

Tony gives you the courage to achieve, to set and beat PB's and ultimately, to believe in yourself!

I have been training with Tony for several years now and throughout that time he has provided information and guidance on training programmes and nutrition and we have agreed on goals which are challenging yet still achievable. When training we work on strength as well as general fitness and endurance and this can include weights based sessions, circuits or crossfit and if the weather is good we will sometimes train outside for some variety. My overall fitness has improved greatly and Tony keeps records of the progress to track the changes and allow us to focus in areas that need attention. Overall, and most importantly, the sessions are really enjoyable and have become an important part of my weekly routine. The one on one training is so much more effective than training alone and definitely brings results in a faster and more balanced way and provides motivation to push on to new challenges and goals. This year Tony has been absolutely amazing. I've trained with him for quite a while now and have always felt really good about it but we (he ! ) decided that turning 50 was a proper milestone for me and it needed to be marked with a step up in application. So I put my name down for the Elite Team running a Tough Mudder in April and he put together a training plan for me from the beginning of the year. Running on road and off (up to 10 miles and I am NOT a runner), increasing, and importantly, varying our sessions in the gym and a complete overhaul of my nutrition later and job done. Tough Mudder completed, in SO much better shape than in many years (and much lighter) without ever being hungry and still running and keeping up the work put in so far this year. I thoroughly recommend Tony for his total commitment to ALL his clients - professional sportspeople or middle-aged mothers. I have been training with Scott for the past 12 months if not longer, I currently do personal training twice a week and attend the group classes. Scott has taught me the importance of a healthy nutritional diet, which has helped me in my weight loss programme. Each week we do something different which amazes me and Scott always encourages me even when I feel I can't continue. After each session and group class I feel exhausted but at the same time I'm buzzing with satisfaction that I have completed my session. I absolutely love my PT sessions with Dawn she has pushed me more than I thought was possible she has helped me get rid of my baby weight I am finally looking like me again

I now enjoy working out (never thought I would say that)!!! I really look forward to my gym sessions with Dawn she is so professional and the sessions are always varied I'm always excited to see what she has come up with, we have such a great laugh.

Dawn also helped me achieve my first half marathon, which was amazing. If someone had told me I was going to run a half marathon 8 months after my gorgeous boy Freddie I would have laughed, i used not even be able to run up the road without feeling like I was going to pass out, so really pleased what I have achieved already.

I love the group sessions with Scott he has so much enthusiasm, I sometimes feel like I can't carry on but then look up and Scott is still going strong he makes you push yourself more than you could think possible.
The early bootcamp with Tony defiantly wakes you up ready for the day ahead love those sessions.

Highly recommend the catalyst team!!

I started training with Sean once a week around 5 weeks ago and I love it. As well as training with him he has provided a 4 week training plan to follow. I have been pushed to limits I didn't even know I had and am already seeing great results in terms of both strength and body shape. Sean's support hasn't just stopped in the sessions he is always on hand to help and offer encouragement outside of these sessions too which is something I really value.

The whole team at Catalyst are warm and welcoming, I would definitely recommend!

I have been training with Steve since March this year and he is everything I would expect from a PT – from his knowledge, to his professionalism and honesty, he encourages and is very supportive, he knows when to push and challenge you to easing down (a bit) when I have pushed myself. I am exhausted after each session but at the same time buzzing. I can honestly say that I really do look forward to going to my PT sessions with Steve and the group sessions at Catalyst. The atmosphere in the studio is one of focus, support, encouragement and fun.

Steve has helped me understand the importance of a healthy nutritional diet, I have lost weight, improved my body tone and lost inches from my body. My fitness has improved, which equals one happy person :-)

So a big thumps up for Steve for his PT sessions and the team at Catalyst for encouraging whilst in the studio.

As a complete personal training novice, I had no idea what to expect from this type of training. I can honestly say I am so glad to have discovered Catalyst! I train twice weekly with Robin. We do varied sets of exercise which is perfect for someone like me who gets bored easily. It's never boring! I never relished the traditional gym environment and Catalyst is anything but this. I have been delighted to start to see a real difference in my body but, equally as important, feel how much it has a positive effect psychologically. I am excited to see how far I can go with this journey. I would definitely recommend Catalyst and its trainers. More...

I've been having PT with Tony at Catalyst since it opened and as well as being a well equipped gym the trainers really make it a great place to go and workout. Fitness has been a big part of my routine for several years now and Catalyst offer achievable goals and real results whilst being realistic and allowing for life and work to get in the way occasionally. Now with the spin studio and other group sessions there are so many opportunities to train on evenings and weekends as well, all in a great, friendly atmosphere which helps with the motivation and enthusiasm. I have only been having double weekly PT sessions with Tony Oakley since the beginning of Catalyst! I have also had sessions with Joe and Robin and it's safe to say that they are all a great bunch of guys.

The regular fitness routine has had a massive impact on my fitness and injury rehabilitation. I have gained a load of overall body strength, lost weight and body fat during my two years with Tony and I am still improving and enjoying the sessions we have.

The gym has great facilities and excellent trainers at a great location. I would highly recommend Catalyst to anyone, it really is the best gym with the best personal trainers in the Cirencester area!

I absolutely killed it today in my Fitness Test! Scoring PBs in everything - 500m row, push ups, squats, horizontal rows, plank and prowler! ! Sean Middlecote don't be too jealous of my achievements today - we can't all be the greatest - there is only room for one up here! ��� Seriously though you helped me achieve this, I couldn't have done it without you - your training and continual encouragement to strive to be the best version of me that I can be!
In the words of a great man (maybe even the GOAT!).....I'm living in the 21st century doin' something mean to it, Do it better than anybody you ever seen do it, Screams from the haters, got a nice ring to it....

Catalyst has really changed my mind as to what my body can achieve. I am fitter and stronger than I have ever been and my relationship with exercise has improved. I am doing 4-5 classes per week, I've competed in a strength competition and made some really great friends.
The trainers are exceptional and will tailor group classes to suit individual needs and are incredibly supportive. Rob, Sean and Scott keep me coming back and make me look forward to kick starting my days!

I first visited catalyst in 2016 and had a great experience but unfortunately took a sabbatical for 6 months! I have recently rejoined and I felt very nervous about doing this but I didn't need to be! What sets catalyst apart from everywhere else is the individual trainers but how they also make an awesome team! They are all down to earth and genuine. You really feel you are part of a team and that they have your absolute interests at heart. You can tell they enjoy what they do and get a real buzz from seeing anyone that joins reaching their goals and beyond.
It's fantastic being part of their group again and I want to thank each member of the team for their support and encouragement!

I started going to Catalyst in February 2016 and haven’t looked back since then. Beforehand I was just a member at a ‘normal gym’, which meant that my training was sometimes un-motivated and often I would repeat the same workout over and over again, but this just doesn’t happen at Catalyst. Each and every single one of their trainers is exceptional – not only do their classes differ from week to week, keeping training fun and interesting, but they have helped me to push myself and my body further than I would ever think possible. My sister and I now train with Tony once a week and aim to attend four or more group sessions on top of that ,and I can certainly say I have never felt as fit as I am now, and as importantly, never before have I found ‘going to the gym’ as enjoyable or as rewarding. I have now been going to Catalyst regularly for about 18 months, I started with going to just a couple of group training classes every week but that quickly increased to more. My sister and I also have a joint personal training session with Tony once a week. The variety of classes is amazing and the range of ability or fitness that each one provides means that anyone can go and join in. My favourite classes have got to be Box with Sean or Robin and Core with Tony. All of the trainers at Catalyst are incredible and it is obvious how much they love what they do which translates to how I feel when I'm there. I really have noticed a huge difference in myself, especially in my approach to exercise! There is such a huge sense of community at Catalyst and you are always made to feel welcome and a part of that community. More...

I have attended many gyms over the years, what I like to call 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'! All of them, though, have had something positive to keep me going back for more. I thought that, and the achievements I made each time, was enough. That was until I came along to Catalyst, encouraged by Joe Navin. It is here that I have found the encouragement to try new things, to keep going when things get hard and the comradery of the group to keep things in prespective. So, now I'm at catalyst, there is really only 'The Good'! Catalyst is such a great place to train. You are surrounded by like minded people and trainers that push you further than you would if you were in a standard gym. I started with PT sessions and then moved onto the group training which I now do 4-5 times a week. Every session is different and challenging and that’s what helps to keep the motivation to keep going back. It’s also a bonus that it is right next to my work so it’s been really easy to build training into my routine without disrupting home life too much.
