I can not recommend this school enough, the teachers are extremely professional and yet caring, they take pride in not only their profession but also their pupils and encourage them to be the best they can be . today my child sat her first promotion to which I never thought I would see... I walked into their class on her first lesson with a nervous, anxious child who had no confidence or self belief . what a change this class has made; today I sat worrying whilst she took it all in her stride, she spoke with confidence and stood tall as she showed everyone what she can do . I saw my child with confidence and self belief for the first time in a good couple of years and that was all thanks to her Teachers and students at this school they have finally gave my child her self worth all through learning a skill that she will take with her throughout her life if you are ever thinking about starting karate then this school comes highly recommended from a fellow parent, the teachers are compassionate and firm with students. They teach them so much more then just karate, they teach them respect for themselves and others and I can not thank them enough for training my child. More...

This is a fantastic class, run by two great teachers, Ben and Alison. They have a vast amount of knowledge on Karate, with special focus on practical application of the techniques from the Kata. It is my first time trying Karate and found the class so welcoming and supportive, thank you!Hope to see you here! More...

I have trained with sensei Alison and sensei Ben for a number of years, and I honestly cannot speak highly enough of them as teachers or as people. They train us hard, and push us to our limits, But all the while making it fun and enjoyable. I personally feel a great sense of achievement after every lesson, and with their dedication to each and every student (and in my case a lot of patience!), I often surpass my own expectations of what I can achieve. There are also plenty of fantastic opportunities to participate in seminars and train with senseis from all walks of martial arts backgrounds. What else can I say, other than to train with sensei Alison and sensei Ben is an absolute honour and pleasure. Both they and the group are very welcoming and friendly, and will make you feel very much part of our little family. More...

Great Dojo with all the equipment you could possibly ask for, would be hard pushed to find a better place to learn Karate and kobudo.

Our boys 10 & 8 have both been coming here since they were 4years old. We chose matsuri because they have a dojo and a very strong connection with Japan and their traditional values which is very important to us. All the Sensei's are brilliant with all the kids. They also have the head Sensei's from Japan visit annually to see how the students are progressing which again we love. I have recommended this school to many friends and they joined up straight away. Our boys do 3 sessions a week and enjoy it! Highly recommend!! More...

One of the best dojo that I have visited. The staff here are friendly and professional and get not only the martial art but also the spirit of karate across to students. They communicate well with all ages and grades of students and it is easy to see the love that they have for their work. They have classes for all abilities and also separate classes for different parts of karate (sparing, kata, weapons) which can be hard to find in some dojos. The facilities are great and they encourage their students well. They get involved with a lot of community events and in national and world tournaments. My son loves it here and I can't stop him from going.
