Planning Service
We provide a unique service, combining structural design with our planning services, to ensure our design is economic, as structural alterations can be costly. We can discuss with our clients at the initial stages to ensure the design is developed within the budget of our client.
Unlike many online planning services our customers are important to us, and to ensure we share their vision, we hold an onsite meeting at the property to discuss proposals, and undertake a measured survey. Following up from this meeting, our planners we will then produce planning drawings.
On receiving planning permission, we can then provide a full design service required for your project, including building regulation drawings, structural drawings and structural calculations.
Our planners have obtained a number of planning permissions for a range of buildings, examples of which can be found on our experience page.
We believe communication between client and the design team is paramount, we ensure we react to any concerns raised by the client.
Our planners keep up to date with the latest planning policies and would be happy to discuss these with you at the outset, as they may affect your proposals.
Structural Design
Robert Blake designs offer a range of structural engineering design services, including structural drawings, structural calculations and structural reports and surveys.
Our structural drawings are informative, accurate and easy to work from. We believe we can add value to projects by designing well thought out designs and efficient structures.
Our in house structural engineer is an IStructE Chartered Structural Engineer with a wealth of experience. With each project we value engineer the design to ensure an efficient use of materials and labour, ensuring the proposals are buildable accounting for any access constraints.
We work alongside the design team, including architects to provide economic design, taking our clients design from paper to reality.
Our drawings and calculations are clear and concise; should queries be raised throughout the project, we endeavour to answer these in a timely manner to ensure the design is approved by building control.
Our staff members have the appropriate levels of skills and experience, and regularly engage with CPD (Continuing Professional Development) to ensure the designs we produce are designed with the latest materials and technology.
We use the latest CAD and design software to provide clear and concise information, to ensure information is correctly conveyed to the client, design team and contractors.
Our structural engineers operate throughout Essex, Hertfordshire and London, and across the country.
We carry both professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance.
