David is a really patient piano teacher with a very calm nature and a great sense of humour. Would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to progress their piano playing!

We have had lessons with David Arthur for Grade 2 piano & fun music lessons that would encourage & educate for the present and longer term. I think his style is imaginative and very well adapted as needed for the student. Our son aged 12 really enjoys his lessons. More...

I was a complete beginner and David has been very accommodating to my level. He was happy to go through whatever songs I asked to play and showed interest in any materials I found, he is also happy to help with anything you're stuck on even outside of lessons.

What do you love most about your job?
I love the diversity that each student brings, everyone is different, which is what makes teaching exciting. I love when students start to get passionate about music and i am able to see their abilities rise with their motivations.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As soon as i started learning piano at the age of 13, i became completely obsessed and immersed myself in the world of piano, i would miss classes at school to go and play the piano in the hall. By the time i reached a suitable standard i began teaching the piano at age 16, which led to Real Tuition.
Why should our clients choose you?
I treat each student individually, i listen to them and connect with what their goals are, motivating them through gentle support and applying pressure when needed. I like to see progress just as much as the student, i draw upon my twenty + years of teaching experience to find the most effective teaching methods that are relevant to them. I am also not just a teacher for the lesson time, i provide constant support, every student has a personal and private whatsapp group with me, where we share music sheets, links to videos and other media, and i respond to questions with video demonstrations. It is important to me that students feel that they are fully supported on their musical journey.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Services can be provided online, i have had huge success with online tuition, the two options are Zoom or Skype, and around half of my student base is online. Highly recommended, as it eliminates all travel costs and journey time, the lessons are from the comfort of your own home and you get to use your own instrument. There are so many benefits to learning online, you can always try it out and see whaf you think.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Online lessons are recommended for people who are concerned about this.
