This is such a friendly, welcoming gym. I do the group HIIT sessions, which are in a group of a maximum of 12. The instructors are all very attentive and will offer helpful advice to make sure you are getting the best out of a session safely and without sounding like drill instructors. The sessions are very well thought out, with appropriate break points built in. The participants are of all ages and abilities but nobody gets left behind. More...

I have been training with Oakmont Fitness for the past 18 months. If you are looking for a safe and friendly environment, with knowledgeable coaches who will both challenge and support you, then this is the place for you. Group classes are varied and interesting and the people on them are friendly and supportive. Throughout the Lockdowns, the team have adapted for us, always giving us value for money and access to online training, when gyms were closed. I joined Oakmont fitness in November. I knew I needed a more personalised approach to my fitness where I was supported but also accountable. I had a phone consultation and went in for a brief fitness assessment the same day. I knew Oakmont was different, the staff were professional and explained their aims and how the workouts were planned. I signed up and haven’t looked back. The support during lockdown has been impeccable and I am in better shape physically and mentally since joining. More...

If you are looking to train with lovely people and highly effective instructors in a supportive environment then I would highly recommend Oakmount fitness for you! Since moving to Devon I have tried, netball, 3 different gyms, PT training and fitness classes but really struggled to find something that I consistently enjoyed. Oakmount is absolutely amazing, I don’t have to think about anything at all, they take care of it all. It’s not ‘clicky’ or judgemental like other gyms, everyone is lovely, supportive with a good sense of humour! More...

We tailor a personalised fitness programme for each of our clients. Your personal plan is based on your current fitness, desired goals and sporting targets. Whether you want to run a marathon, weight lift, excel in a field sport or simply slim down and tone, we design our plans to suit your individual aspirations.

Your fitness plan will include a range of strengthening, conditioning and cardio exercises that will burn away fat, build muscle mass, strengthen, condition, tackle target areas and increase your overall fitness levels.

Over the course of the programme, we will continually assess your progress, muscle mass, weight loss and physical endurance. Increasing repetitions and intensity according to your individual progress.

We will drive your results and help you on your way to a healthy body and mind. What’s more, in addition to all this, we can offer tailored nutritional advice. Our nutrition plans will help you achieve your goals faster while helping you make a real lifestyle change.

The secret is really that there is no secret. It is actually quite simple but not easy. The one word I would use to get the body of your dreams is " consistency".

The best feeling is when the clients continue to achieve. Winning the race of losing a few pounds or gaining some muscle mass and doing that once will not make you achieve the desired body. Repeating that process continuously is what gives that real joy.

After working in a commercial gym environment for some time, I understood that a "big gym" environment is not for everyone. I wanted to create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for people that are in the long run of a sustainable way of getting to their goals.

Having created the best fitness community environment in Exeter, coaches and like-minded real people come together in a motivational, supportive and results-driven space where you can realise your full potential. At our exclusive private gym, we make getting fit an enjoyable experience, not a chore. Our personal training programmes will become something that you genuinely look forward to. It is our aim to help you to make a real lifestyle change that sticks.

Online services can be provided after the initial assessment either in person or zoom call.

Long before Covid-19, we had all clients coming to train only by making an appointment in addition to that all members are sanitising and wiping equipment after use. Premises are being cleaned daily as well as sanitised with a fog machine.

Services

We understand that 1-2-1 training isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. As a result, we offer fun and social group personal training sessions at our exclusive gym in Exeter, 6 days a week, that help you burn fat and build muscle. Groups include both men and women of different ages, weights and abilities. As a result, no one has to worry about feeling intimidated or out of their depth. All group training fitness sessions are led by our friendly, fully qualified and highly experienced personal trainers.

When you join us we will develop a tailored 12-week personal training plan, just for you. Group training sessions will focus on your own individual targets as well as general exercises and cardio that everyone can benefit from to increase athletic ability. During your session, you will also receive 1-2-1 training within the group environment. Therefore, you will benefit from all the advantages of 1-2-1 training in a fun, social and supportive group environment.

If you would like more of our undivided attention but would still like to work in a small group for additional motivation and support from your peers, then our private and semi-private fitness training could be just what you are looking for.

Semi-private sessions are suitable for up to 4 people. You will benefit from a highly focussed session with the advantage of training in a very small group of like-minded individuals. All of whom are dedicated to getting the best out of themselves.
