How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Most garage conversions will fall in with permitted development Unless you live in a listed building or conservation area then planning will be needed
Make sure the walls and roof are in good condition
You will have to check hight of ceiling as you will Need 2.2 /2.4 of ceiling hight after the floor has been raised by min of 150mm
You will need to know if you have a party wall to consider and may need a party wall agreement with your neighbour before work can begin
