Rocket Science had a company away day in York with the London, Edinburgh and North East offices in attendance for a few days of training, learning and networking. This coincided with an upcoming refresh of our website as well as a host of new staff starting. As a result we had a need to update the headshots of our staff to publicise on the site. Mike was amazing at our daughters christening. He spent his time taking lots of photos of my daughter getting christened, the guests in the church and then during the party he took photos of all the guests interacting with each other. He also got us to stand together with our daughter and our family and friends for our daughters guestbook photos, he would spend the time to get everyone to laugh and smile to get their natural smiles for the photos. We received the link to view our photos really quick and the photos were amazing and really caught each and every moment of our daughters special day! So patient and thoughtful, with plenty of fun photos of different groups of people, taking care to include all those who wanted pictures as well as encouraging those a little shy. What do you love most about your job?
The variety is the biggest appeal for me - there seems to be no pattern in who I work with other than I seem to work with honest, friendly people who want the best out of situations, which is always exciting and challenging. Also, the positive feelings I get when I look at work I have produced for someone which fits their needs.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My best friend from college (Hi Phil) and all of my friends who surrounded me, then the friends throughout my life that inspired me to carry on (Jay, Dom, Heather, Contact Creative Experts, NCS The Challenge, the York creative contingent - you know who you are!).
Once I started working for myself and delivering projects, I couldn't stop.

I'm able to work remotely with screen sharing for video editing and can assist with streaming online as tech support if required (assuming I know the system).

I always open up the opportunity to wear a mask and do so when it's requested.
