The website needs more details and should encompass the independent traders present. The experience itself was good. The cafe was competitively priced and clean. We took our 5 yr old grandson and he enjoyed making something with the clay. I didn't see anything on the website about it or if it's there I missed it. More...

We, being me, my other half, a 19 year old and 14 year old; took advantage of a factory tour. It took approximately a hour and a half and was worth the money. Rob (Jones) our tour guide was very informative and passionate about the work of the factory. A good representative for Burleigh. I purchased our tickets in advance which made entry very easy. All staff were welcoming (considering they are being watched by the general public while they work). Cafe was reasonably priced and the rolls (soft baguettes) were a welcome lunch after the tour. Shop is expensive but then it's too be expected and appreciated when you know and see how much work goes into creating these lovely pieces. More...

We went for the self led clay making experience and had a look around whilst we were in there. This was the first time we've been and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of history to learn about, lovely little cafe right on the canal also. More...

We have just had the most wonderful day at Middleport Pottery. Such friendly staff and store keepers. So full of interest, every corner tells a story. Such lovely old buildings, so many lovely old pieces on display, so much history in original documents and order books. It has been fantastic and I can't wait to return! ❤️ More...

A very interesting visit. I would have liked to see some pots being made but other than that a good day. Nice cafe, excellent food. Now I've seen inside a bottle kiln and I'm much the wiser for it. 😁😁 More...

Beautifully restored factory and terraced streets. Factory tour and self-guided tour were very thorough and interesting. The cafe food was tasty, especially the lobby and oat cakes (service isn’t rushed so allow time for this). More...

Not disabled friendly. The cobbled walkways are difficult for wheelchair users and there are a lot of inaccessible places that I would have liked to see.

Interesting collection of exhibits showing pottery history with decent cafe. Souvenir shop however closed on Mondays so missed opportunity to earn revenues to support this worthy venture.

Wonderful experience to see living history from my home town, all our family worked in the industry at some point, sadly little now remains of this highly skilled workforce. Long may these historic sites keep going. More...

Real gem of a place. Lovely staff, shop owners, canalside café. Shane there isn't more footfall for the businesses there. Perhaps regular Farmers market or events would help.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time in the pottery. The staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and clearly enthusiastic. We learnt a great deal about the industry, and so pleased that the remaining section of the pottery with one oven was preserved. We finished a lovely day in the cafe with some delicious food. Highly recommended a visit. More...
