Ian was fantastic from start to finish. He listened to what we wanted and planned accordingly. No hard sell at all. His advice was sound and he was very patient with any questions and concerns we might have had.
We were working to quite a tight budget and Ian and his team have created exactly what we wanted without sacrificing style nor quality. In terms of workmanship we have no complaints either. Everything was done to the highest of standards and always checked by Ian himself. The plasterer/electrician/fitter were all very clean workers who turned up when they said they would and communicated efficiently. I always felt as though I knew what was happening and when.

Had my bathroom fully renovated by Ian and his team in July. Also had some adjustable shelves fitted into alcoves in my dining room. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome on both jobs. The quality of the finished product was well beyond my expectations. Excellent communication throughout the design, build and finish meant that we always felt looked after and in the loop and had a clear picture of how long the work would take, what we could expect as an outcome and clear costs and some great laughs along the way

With a LARGE amount of work needed in our home- Ian reassured us the team would be perfect for the job: With a site visit, detailed measurements of our upstaris were taken, which turned in to an impressive virtual reality CAD drawing of what we would expect to see at the end. The accuracy between the drawing and the finished product is impressively accurate!

The team turned up on time, were friendly, clean, professional and trustworthy, making sure we were aware of every step they took- including us on key decisions during the build to ensure that they delivered great quality, and we know we get the right end product.

The pictures speak for themselves! Before, we had a small dated, unfunctional en suite style bathroom- No master bathroom! we had a larged bedroom that needed a lot of attention. Now we have something that is amazing every time we walk upstairs and is Pinterest and instagram worthy in our opinion

Ian and the team took this side of the house back to the bare joists and walls and started again:
- Strengthened joists, and lowered the floor from the old bathroom so it was all on one level
- New Flooring- with no creaks like you get in new builds!!!
- Updated Plumbing
- repositioned electrics
- repositioned radiators
- New stud walling with soundproofing and moisutre barrier
- plastering
- new bathroom as seen in photos, complete with underfloor heating, moisture control, and HUGE amounts of storage
- Fitted Wardrobes

Everything about the design and installation of the toilet was excellent. The work required that a wall, window and door of the utility room had to be relocated and the flat roof replaced. We were given a straightforward assessment of the work that needed to be done. The estimate for the cost was very reasonable. There were no surprise hidden extra expenses. Ian Macintosh personally supervised all phases of the work. He was always available to discuss the project as it progressed. The skilled workmen were courteous and friendly. Ian and his team completed a knock through, installed a new kitchen , pitched roof with velux windows, wood flooring and updated utility. The workmen were friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. (At times I think our job was quite a challenge due to the original 1970’s extension.) We were happy that the job was completed to a safe and high standard. Ian managed to stick within budget while maintaining high quality and finish.

Very friendly, approachable, and professional. Nothing is a problem and any issues that may arise Ian gets it sorted as soon as possible with no hassle. After shopping around first and getting some designs and quotes Ian was then recommended to us. He listened to what we wanted and came up with an even better design, that I had never even thought about ! Absolutely LOVE the end product especially the Kitchen island! We also added a skylight which we absolutely love. He sticks to your budget and helps you to get what you want for the best quality and price..

Our Barthroom needed a full re jig and was just wasted space. Ian came out and gave us some ideas and in a couple of days came out to give us a image of what our bathroom would look like. We were amazed by his plans and we were very excited to get the work done. Started in a couple of weeks and were kept up date with products ordered. John and Davey worked very hard in the 2 weeks to complete our bathroom to a very high standard. We love the bathroom that is now complete with a mirror from today. Ian and his team have been 100% professional and committed to completing our project from day 1, we can’t speak highly enough of them!

We had our full loft boarded out along with a garage converted into a room and full downstairs flooring.

The project faced challenges unheard of in COVID 19 however, Ian was in communication with as and when work could continue safely. One of the many positives was the communication, Ian was always available and kept us up to-date on progress and planned work.

Attention to detail and friendly welcome from the start in obtaining a quotation was very impressive. Listening to our brief and undertaking the work exactly how we wanted and adding ideas was outstanding.

Ian did our kitchen 2years ago, and we subsequently asked him to do our bathroom which has just been completed. Ian has once again given us exactly what we wanted and I can’t recommend him more highly.

I thought I knew what I wanted with both projects and Ian fully took our needs and ideas on board and then created designs beyond what we had dreamed possible! He made sure they were realistic and usable in daily life, but with a wow factor. Exactly what we wanted.

He then took the projects from start to completion and as a full time working mum that was great for me, he only asked what he needed to ask and didn’t bother me with silly things, he just got on and got the job done. He used fantastic workmen (even my husband commented both projects how good they were!), and nothing was too much trouble. He even came and let the workmen in each day throughout the project because we have to leave early on a morning.

Ian is also competitively priced, I got at least 3 quotations both projects and he came in not always the cheapest but certainly the best value and best quality. Quality I could trust.

I would without doubt recommend him and will certainly use him in future. Thank you again Ian, I still love my kitchen and now stand and stare in awe of my new bathroom!! More...

We hired Ian to fit a new kitchen and redesign the kitchen and conservatory into an open plan space.

Ian provided a professional service listening carefully to our requirements whilst providing sound knowledgeable advice and suggestions.

He provided a digital image of the proposed work and showed no frustration to the many tweaks we made to which there were many!

The work started at pace whilst we were on holiday - getting all the messy stuff out the way - which was great! The standard of work was top class - it was obvious each tradesman took pride in their work which was evident in the quality. Ian took all the hassle away, dealt with any issues speedily. He managed the project very effectively and within budget.

We hired Macintosh Home Design to design/project manage/build our spare room into a walk in wardrobe.

Ian visited firstly to take a look at what we wanted, we felt no pressure at all to purchase. Worked with us designing the room. Using his experience to point us in the right direction.

The project was completed perfectly! Within the agreed budget and on time. The craftsmen he used were very good, willing to work around us.

A full digital design was made up and the room looks exactly like the mock-ups. Amazing!

Very pleased with the work and the final result.

Now to our next project! Get your laptop out Ian, it’s going to be a big one.

Ian totally took care of organising the entire kitchen renovation from planning it all out on computer to coordinating all the many workers it took to bring it to fruition. It made the whole process not only successful but made a potentially stressful time as smooth and pleasant as possible - no small task!! He has an amazing team that work with him - all of whom were excellent in their field but also pleasant and respectful when in our home. Ian kept us updated at all times ( we always had the names of all workers expected that day ) and had many useful suggestions.
The end product is truly amazing. He not only gutted and renovated the kitchen but created a utility room and front entrance porch out of the garage. Beautiful workmanship and loads of storage created. No problem was too great, no detail too small. Ian took it all in his stride.
Any slight adjustments after the job was finished were quickly taken care of. I love my new kitchen and thank Ian for creating it and for his patience throughout! I have already recommended to a friend who is looking at a kitchen renovation! More...

We hired Ian for a total bathroom redesign and renovation and we are beyond thrilled with our beautifully finished new bathroom. The entire process could not have been easier thanks to Ian's friendly and accommodating nature, experience and commitment to ensuring that by the end he has delivered exactly what you want, and in a very timely manner. Ian is a clever designer. His redesign of our small, L-shaped bathroom completely transformed the space and incorporated some nice features that gave the room dimension and additional storage and light. We had awful mould problems in our old bathroom and it was absolutely essential that we would have measures that would help us avoid this in the future. Ian understood this straight away and implemented several ways of keeping the room dry. Ian's installation crew, John, John and Lee are highly skilled, experienced and hard working, and were a pleasure to have in our home. They don't simply install, they think about what they're doing and I could point out exactly where their attention to detail made a visible difference to the overall look and finish of the room. I came to Ian with a couple must-have high-end pieces in mind and a wish list for the others after getting quotes from other companies that quoted so far outside of our decent-sized budget that it was impossible to move forward without major compromises. With Ian, we got every item on my list and even another that I thought was so out of reach I didn't include it (the Grohe Sensia Arena shower toilet!), and all within our budget. I still can't believe he made it happen with such a high quality installation and superior design - we got the best of everything. Our new bathroom feels so much bigger and brighter, our showers are now pure bliss, and it looks fantastic. It has gone from being the 'shame room' of the house to our pride and joy.

I would give Ian and his crew 6 stars if I could, they really went above and beyond in making our reno stress-free (I didn't know this was possible!) and the value, I feel, is unrivalled. We will come straight to Ian for all of our future home projects. Ian - thank you so much from the three of us, you took care of us all the way through and we absolutely love our new bathroom. Having previously designed and fitted my kitchen Ian produced s fabulous modern space that always receives comments from visitors

I decided to use Ian to design and fit my bedroom and study
The results are amazing, Ian works hand in hand with you to produce stunning rooms nothing is too much trouble
He has a key eye for detail and is a perfectionist
My bedroom is outstanding and has been designed bespoke and individually for me it is stylish and contemporary at a fraction of the cost yet looks as if it cost thousands more
It is the showpiece of the house all who visit are rather jealous
My study design produced a large amount of storage and is sleek, modem and very spacious fitting in perfectly with my needs
Moreover all materials are exceptional quality nothing is low grade yet his service was budget friendly
