Very unsatisfactory, the project has been left unfinished. I currently have no access where once I had, the electrics I once had to the garden have been knocked out including to all outbuildings. The site was left untidy and the side access is incomplete. Patrick O’ Malley received over 60% of the quote in cash although was rarely working on site and the ordering of materials was often not done which has lengthened the time men were on site. The plasterers have, however, done an excellent job with which I am very pleased. What can I say in response? Ms Langton has been changing plans since day 1. From questioning and trying to undermine the knowledge of the local building authority. Wanting to save money and reduce costs whilst demanding the most expensive materials were used. Changing location of kitchen and bathroom after 1st fix and post plastering and shocked this carried additional costs! I decided until the additional materials and labour costs were agreed in writing to concentrate on other projects. To any prospective clients I can offer a wealth of positive reviews from satisfied clients. Regarding Ms Langton I am sure there are a number of people with their own opinions of her.

Things to consider:
Ceiling height.
Wall thickness/insulation
Water
Electricity
Drainage

Generally speaking planning permission is NOT required however a Local Authority Building notice may be.
They are quick to turn around and are probably the quickest and cheapest method to add valuable space to your home.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
If your loft looks like a cats cradle of cross crossing timbers it is much harder however every loft is convertible (at a cost)

As with garage conversions, planning permission may not be required but it is essential that the loft is converted according to building regulations to ensure structural integrity and the safety of you loved ones
