Q&As

The opportunity to make a real impact with the support I'm able to provide. Being challenged in new areas, reconsidering established principles and working in an agile manner are really exciting aspects of being an in-house commercial lawyer. I enjoy the relationships I build along the way which always take me to unexpected ventures.

There are always ways to improve what we do. I felt that the legal services industry was impersonal, rigid and not very transparent. I wanted to create a flexible structure to provide more control to those I work with.

Currently, I'm a legal advisor working with rapidly growing technology companies. My experience began with an organisation which had a flat structure, saw problems as creative challenges and lived by a refreshing set of values. Consequently, being an enabler of business formed the foundation of my attitude as a lawyer and my ability to exercise sound commercial judgement matured alongside the speed at which the organisation developed.

From facilitating critical revenue generating transactions to fostering innovative contractual relationships with partners and designing efficiencies to help legal departments remain agile in a constantly changing environment has allowed me to make a tangible positive impact in the businesses that I have had the privilege of supporting. Knowing that my honesty, positivity and willingness to work hard is able to assist a company’s continued success, inspires me to be the best I can for those I serve.
