Joe was our musician at the amazing venue at Old Downton Lodge! He made the day so special for us. He set up in 3 different places for us as the day moved through the venue, it was never too much hassle for him. Absolutely amazing! We had Joe at our wedding in May 2021 at our ceremony and drinks reception. Everyone absolutely loved Joe and his choice of songs for the day. From the minute we heard Joe performing at an open day at Rowton Castle we fell in love with his music and his vibe - he is absolutely perfect for so many occasions not just weddings! With only a weeks notice I asked Joe if it would be possible to make a song from a poem that I wrote to my wife on our wedding day. He worked tirelessly and made a song for her which I gave her for a birthday present this morning. She absolutely loved it, you were right, it brought tears to her eyes. Joe entertained my guests at my virtual 60th birthday party (on Zoom). His varied repertoire was enjoyed by all ages.

Joe played at our wedding in September 2020. From the moment we enquired with Joe, he was professional and supportive of our wishes, and with Covid, this was especially much more important. We cannot thank Joe enough for the music he played during the day and into the evening, it simply made the day so much more special. He went above and beyond with what we had expected, and even learnt some new songs that we had requested! He catered for every guest, from a 18month toddler to a 85 yr old Grandparent! He was just wonderful. Everyone loved all the music he played, and we had so many compliments of how talented and great Joe was. Joe played at our wedding at Dumbleton Hall last weekend. Wow. What a performance !!! Totally brilliant from start to finish and it made our day completely special. His gift lay in judging the mood and hitting the right note (literally, of course, but also metaphorically) at every point in the day. Joe performed at our Winter Wedding in January after hearing him play on a couple of open days at Rowton Castle and we immediately knew we wanted him to play at our wedding. He is a very talented singer & songwriter (we have enjoyed listening to his CD's!) and his take on well known songs is amazing. On behalf of me and my new husband Luke,we would like to thank Joe from the bottom of our hearts for making our day so perfect! He is such a fantastic performer. He answered our every wish. Our day was unexpectedly sunny and bright. He took the party outdoors without any prompt and made our guests feel so happy and relaxed. My walk down the alise was perfect and we also were lucky enough to keep Joe for our wedding meal. My new husband and I heard Joe play at a venue we were looking around and couldn’t help but stop and listen to him. We didn’t book the venue but we remembered Joe! He’s exceptionally talented and really easy to deal with in the lead up to our wedding. He played our chosen songs beautifully and even learned a new one that we wanted him to play as we walked out of the ceremony. We hadn’t even considered having someone to sing at our wedding, but after hearing Joe at an open day at our venue we thought why not! Joe is absolutely amazing he learnt our walking out song in days and definitely goes above and beyond to make everything special. He was both professional and friendly and if he knew it he’d sing it. Other than being one of the nicest guys ever he excels in what he does and truly is an amazing performer and a wonderfully talented singer. Having known Joe a number of years, seen him play live a few times and experienced his work first hand at my sisters wedding, we knew there was no one else we would want for our Wedding day. Ever the professional, Joe made the build up easy, answering any questions we had, giving advice and taking on any requests without any fuss. On the day, he was on time, set up with no hassle to anyone and once he started playing as the guests arrived he set the tone perfectly. We gave him free reign over the set list he played, but chose the songs for him to perform for our ceremony music, and all songs were performed exactly how we knew he would... soulfully and expertly. Joe switched from inside our venue to outside and back again as required and each transition was seamless and guests were all eager for him to continue after each set. The compliments we had from our guests were incredible, with every guest describing him as the perfect soundtrack to our day. Joe played at our wedding at the end of July and from the very start of the process to the actual day he was so accommodating, friendly and professional. My wife met Joe at the NEC wedding event in 2016. He wasn't pushy or throwing flyers in my face, he was just playing his music. She loved him straight away but obviously needed to check with me that I loved him too! We went up to see Joe in Shrewsbury at one of his gigs. He made sure that we had seats close to him and asked us if there were any songs we wanted him to play specifically. They were all so good! I also loved him so we decided to book Joe.From there it was really easy for us - Joe kept in contact all the way up to the wedding and it was so easy to choose the setlist. He was really flexible with timings and what songs we wanted at what time so it felt really personal to us. He played as she walked down the aisle (and even filmed it for us) and then throughout the day (drinks, canapes, dinner, evening, first dance) and then DJ'd for us right until the end! The music was so good and everyone loved it. We even asked him to learn some of our favourite songs which he did and played those for us too.So many of our guests commented on how good Joe's music was, but also how lovely and friendly he was.
