Quiet man and hardworking, however we were very dissatisfied with the finish of his work, he is not a professional decorator. It will cost us money to put right what he has done ie run marks On all new doors he painted, ceiling -
bubbles and still see stain that he said he could sort , blobs of paint all over our carpet which we now have to get cleaned professionally. Emulsion in living room we can now see as blotchy , patchy and paper he put up is cut rather poorly and gaps have appeared .he took a bannister off the wall which created a hole in the wall , he said he could sort it but we now have a bannister that is not put back on because he couldn’t sort it , it also has white blotches all over it where he handled it whilst his hands were covered in paint so we now have to sand and re- varnish are new solid oak bannister and mend the hole in wall and reattach to wall .Matt is a nice guy but we do not recommend his work, we asked him time and time again to put proper dust sheets down his methodology of work was poor and he ended up quite flustered and said he had bitten off more than he could chew , which if anything at least he was honest at the end .
