I highly recommend Honky Tonk My partner Peter and I always enjoy going for breakfast, lunch or dinner The food and wine is always amazing , great choices of wine and delicious food every time we go. I recommended to my friends that we go for breakfast last Saturday ….. as usual great service , Ella was our waitress, Fitz also helped with drinks , both were friendly and efficient and went over and beyond to ensure we had a lovely time . I took my well behaved dog Ella , who was welcomed and given a bowl of water without me asking . I also recommend Comedy Night … brilliant night. If you haven’t been to Honky Tonk before please book in , you will have a great time and will leave with a smile on your face 😊 The environment is beautiful inside and out . I couldn’t recommend this venue enough, I have been numerous times, the food is incredible and the choice of wine is amazing. The staff are always very welcoming and will offer advice on what Wine pairs the best with the dish or dishes you order. The owners are wonderful especially Fitz, who makes the rounds to check if all are enjoying their visit, the Burnt ends were my favourite on my last visit, which in my opinion, goes well with Honky Tonks own brand of Rum. 10/10 in all areas. This was our first visit. I had bought tickets for the comedy evening for my husbands birthday. We wanted to make the most of it so booked a meal beforehand. It was a lovely, friendly and a wonderful atmosphere. We were made to feel very welcome. The meat platter was delicious and the rum cocktail went down a treat. First time visiting and from the moment we walked in, we loved it, our waitress was so nice and friendly, the wine, Sauvignon blanc and Beer, in a jug great quality and the food, well where do I start, we had the sharing platter for 4, and struggled to finish it, such lovely ingredients, meats shellfish, pate, bhajis, we kept finding hidden gems along the way. Fantastic atmosphere, vibe and food! We were very warmly welcomed by Dom and Jo who kindly explained everything. Jo was incredibly attentive until she went off shift. Today we revisited this wonderful restaurant. I plan on every visit to Plymouth to eat and drink here. As always it ahead the best experience and the wine suggestions were perfect. I travel the world and always compare my experiences to the owners of Honky Tonk. Owners who deliver personal service to the customer and care to even put them in taxi’s home mean the world to people like myself. I was shocked to see the hoarding blocking my favourite place today, i implore everyone to book early and take time to enjoy the hospitality of Honky Tonk wine library. Went here with a friend yesterday for what turned out to be the best cheeseboard I’ve had anywhere in Plymouth. Would highly recommend even with the surrounding that’s been put in place for the construction 🚧 next door.
