The hotel is a bit tired but the staff are very friendly and helpful. Amanda on reception in particular is great! A very curious experience at the restaurant however; it's the only restaurant I've ever been to that doesn't have a drinks menu or a wine list. When the waitress asked what we wanted to drink, we asked for the drinks menu only to be told there wasn't one. We then asked for the wine list only to be told there wasn't one. Verbally, we were offered "red" or "white" wine, with no price (she said it was probably about £17-£20 per bottle, which was vaguely reassuring). The food was basic but tasty - but why not have a drinks menu? It's a bit embarrassing not to have one really! More...

In general a very good stay. Excellent quality for money. Hotel room was half price with booking through the wedding party. Breakfast was included and was beautiful. Staff, surroundings and food were all brilliant. Found the bar prices a bit expensive. That’s the only thing I could fault More...

The hotel it self is quite dated but seemed clean enough. The Staff in reception were welcoming. This hotel has a stair lift for wheel chairs which I thought was brilliant as our daughter is in a wheel chair. We staying in a joining single and double room. The single room bathroom for very small it reminded me of a crew ship bathroom due to it size. The rooms overall are very dated with dirty window. For somewhere to just lay your head for the night the room would do but if you wanted a relaxing feel then this hotel is not for you as it really is basic. The beds however were very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and the evening meals where Hugh. My own gripe was the trainee staff seem to stand around alot doing nothing and not being directed. They really looked lost.Overall for a very short stay the hotel was OK but could do with having some money spent on it. More...

During our recent stay at the Holiday Inn, we had a pleasant experience. The parking area had ample space, which was a relief as the hotel was bustling with a wedding party. The rooms were relatively clean, and the staff members were very welcoming and accommodating. This hotel is a great option if you're planning to visit the beaches, which are only 25 minutes away. Additionally, it's located near the Pleasure Beach park, which is perfect for families with children. Another nearby attraction is the Metro Centre, one of the largest malls in the region, consisting of four enormous malls within one massive complex, and it's only a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Overall, we had a great time staying here and would definitely recommend it. More...

Ok so it's an ugly, 60s build building but the location for the North of England, is great. Just off the A1, free parking, massive beds, good facilities for an overnight stay, rooms are warm, staff are friendly and welcoming and there is a bar and TV in reception which is really quite OK. We didn't eat in but the menu looks decent enough. We didn't breakfast at the hotel as we felt it was a touch overpriced for what was on offer. Certainly recommend the hotel if you're looking for a stopover. I'm also sure that it's a good place to stop if you're traveling on business.(Ps if it want a bath, book a room on the 5th floor) More...

Sure hubby had booked a king-size bedroom but got a double and barely slept all night so lost 3 stars for that however on a plus staff friendly and are going to make up the sofa bed so we get a double bed each tonight so gained the 3 stars back, breakfast very expensive so walked less then half a mile to nearby Toby for half the price! So overall deducted the 1 star for that! More...

They stay was better than expected. Stayed here 5 or six times over the years but stayed in the standard room. This year paid the little extra for premium room and its sooooo worth it. From the bath to the little extras they put in the room. Also the booking process so easy and Gemma on reception was brilliant when booking in. More...
