HOW MUCH DO ILLUSTRATIONS COST?
I see a lot of jobs on here asking this where the buyer doesn't have a budget in mind - you're unlikely to get a lot of responses (see below). As a guide, I personally charge £20 an hour which is under UK industry recommended rates for artists straight out of art school (note - I have some art education but have been largely self-taught, however, I've been making art for many, many years now). Consider the level of detail you want in your illustration - how much colour do you want? How complicated does the style you imagine look like? How many people or animals are in any given picture? Generally, it's going to be easier for an artist to give you a good quote if you know how much you're willing to spend, and can compromise when an artist tells you how much they can do for you within that budget.

WHY DIDN'T YOU RESPOND TO MY JOB?
This website charges service providers to speak with buyers through the website, including if you message me first, and it can often be hard to tell which 'leads' are serious jobs. If you are interested in working with me, please email me directly (find my address on my Portfolio) - if I've declined to give a quote or respond to your message, it's likely that I'm out of credits or your job has not provided me with enough information for me to know it's something I can do for you or want to do - for example, if you don't really know what sort of budget you should be looking at, it can get very expensive for me to respond to you and others like you just to give a quote you're not ready for. I'd love to chat with you further though - just email me and it's free! Please don't be disheartened and email me instead as it's free and I can talk with you without worrying about wasting my money and your time!
