9 of us had a meal tonight for my sons birthday. Starters a bit slow, but early sitting so lots of people arriving at once. Made up for it when arrived, delicious! Main meals were out quick and also delicious and piping hot. Desserts also very tasty. Good portions and not too bad price wise. A round of happy birthday and staff were lovely, even a complimentary drink for the birthday boy! Recommend and will be back! More...

Terrible. Once we received our meal everything went down hill!! Kids hot dog was un edible, it was a spicy sausage that even I thought was too spicy. My other daughters side did not arrive and she had to go searching for a staff member to request this. This was received after her meal!! We were never checked on during our meal, offered no other drinks and I had to go a look for someone to request our bill TWICE. Offered no discount on kids meal that wasn’t edible, when requested I was offered 10% which I didn’t think seemed fair as it wasn’t what was described on menu. An embarrassing night... We used to enjoy going to Coopers for a meal, had friends visiting yesterday, so booked a table as we hadn't been for a long while We won't be going back 🤔 We waited for a good 15 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, which when finally. arrived was missing drinks and 1 of the beers had some sort of fungus growing in it. Took even longer to get our food order taken, which they then came back 5 minutes later as realised they'd noted that wrong too. 2nd drinks order came with tenants being delivered instead of Best, and bizarrely the Cosmopolitans were double the size (but same price) as the first round. We asked for the bill which never appeared so had to ask again, where the manager then berated a staff member in front of the whole restaurant!!! Disgusting management and waiter should have told them where to stick their job!! When the bill finally came, it had the Tennants still listed and not the Best, so we asked for it to be amended (was only 30p, but by now was a point of principle). Staff member came back with exactly the same bill saying it had been amended! So we sent it back again, and to their credit they did discount it this time A really nice (and convenient for us) restaurant has been ruined, and we won't be back under this management. Booked for lunch. A lovely warm welcome and we were seated outside at our request. Had the pleasure of chatting to new owner and family. Food was lovely. First time we have been for a while. We had booked inside for dinner but as it was such a lovely night asked if we could move to the beer garden. This was no issue at all. Ordered food that came piping hot, the carbonara was delicious! 😋We had a lovely chat with the staff who were friendly and helpful. The young guy serving us was just newly started but was doing well....we’ve all been new in job sometime! We will definitely be back. More...

I was booked in for a table with my fiancée for around 17.15. I was their for around 2 hours waiting on my food. I waited around 40 minutes for someone to serve us then waited another hour for then to be told our food wouldn’t be ready for another 30mins I had then told them that I would be leaving as I didn’t have the time to be waiting around I wasn’t happy with my experience at the Claremont restaurant at all

We got married on Friday and had lunch afterwards in Coopers. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - they even bought more helium for our balloons and banners when the one we supplied turned out to be empty! The staff were attentive and the owner?/manager was friendly and spent time talking to us. The service was efficient and the food was excellent. Thank you - we'll be back! More...
