How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
This depends upon if it is a brick skinned structure & is wide enough & long enough to convert, access directly into the house is required either by an existing doorway or a new one being installed.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
The front is bricked up or infilled after removing the old garage door.
A new window is fitted & then the floor is upgraded to meet regulations.
A new doorway is intsalled if required.
Studwork is usually run around the perrimeter to form an insulated inner skin before the elctricals Are installed plus any plumbing & heating pipes are run.
The walls & ceiling are then plasterboarded & plastered.
Flooring is fitted if solid wood & the skirings are added.
The room is decorated & cleaned after completion.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
The 2 main things to consider are the height musts be at least 2.1m in the loft & there must be adequate room below to install a staircase.
How long have you been in business?
I have traded since 2017 as FR Building & Carpentry , but previously ran Riley's Crpentry Ltd for 30 year until I was taken ill in 2016 & was forced to close the old company.
