We had our wedding here in August and the staff worked incredibly hard to make it our perfect day. We had a relatively small ceremony with 50 guests for the day and another 40 joining in the evening. The Farmers Club provides lots of space for everyone to keep happy and the rooms are stunning and require very little decoration. Luke, the manager, was an absolute star, helping with making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time and even help coordinate the sparklers at the end of the night. The food provided for the reception and the evening BBQ was incredible and the duck was the best we've had. We had an amazing day - helped with our fantastic friend Alexandra Fouracre-Smith kindly singing and playing the piano for welcome drinks and night - DJ Carl Whitehouse was fab too and made the evening so much fun for our evening guests. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a wedding venue. Thank you so much once again Luke and team! More...

The Bury St Edmunds & Farmers Club is one of Bury’s hidden treasures. A lovely characterful building dating back to the Elizabethan era (it once served as the town house of the Gage family who owned Hengrave Hall). Today it offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of town cafes and restaurants with a friendly and welcoming front of house staff when you enter, to the excellent chef prepared food.I could go on, but why not pop in and find out more yourself? Frazpas .
It's a taste of history. Old fashioned service, lovely panelled rooms. Food ok. A nice change from standard high street. If they had a high quality, innovative kitchen, this could be wonderful (oh, and a bit of an update on image and presentation). Sadly little used. More...

Had a course here. I would like to stay here as it was very nice, with a lovely little bar that looked like it was straight out of Harry Potter.

I have been working out of one of the offices here for a few weeks now. A really good place to have customers come and see us. Close to the town for lunch and great reception facilities with good car parking on-site. I would recommend it to local businesses looking for easy access to A14 as well as central Bury St Edmunds.
