Attention to detail is the claim and we were not disappointed! Jody provided excellent communication throughout the project. Removing a kitchen to dining room wall, installing a new kitchen fit and construction of a utility room was completed within budget and we have had only one or two minor snagging issues which have been resolved to our entire satisfaction. We used Jody and his team for internal and external work on my mother's house in Woodbury. From the start Jody was excellent and I would recommend him for this type of job without reservation. JMT Wood have just completed a single storey extension, together with numerous internal improvements at our home near Exeter. We are so pleased we chose Jody and his team over others that we had out to quote. Sensible advice, constant communication, good humour and hard working throughout. More importantly, the standard of workmanship shown by them all has been superb. All his team were excellent - courteous, punctual, respectful, skilful and reliable. The build was completed on time, and we are thrilled with the end result. We got slightly cheaper quotes, but Jody was competitive, and you get what you pay for. I first met Jody when he was building an amazing extension next door to my sister's house. I had just moved myself and as I was so impressed with his work I asked if he would quote for a full refurbishment of my bungalow. The price was good and Jody's team started work immediately. His men worked hard and incredibly fast and turned my bungalow into an absolute palace!Jody is full of innovative ideas and I felt safe leaving everything to his expertise. He is a great communicator and kept me informed of every development as the work proceeded. I am so pleased with the work carried out including a fantastic new kitchen, lovely bathroom and an amazing glass roofed extension! Jody and his team have done an outstanding job in creating a beautiful kitchen for us. From day one the builders got on with the job in hand, and we were very impressed by the amount that got done each day. Jody made sure we were aware of how the project was coming along, and we never had reason to question the timescale. The space we now have is truly amazing, and the careful and professional workmanship that has gone in to it is clear to see. Jody himself runs a tight ship, and his team are a pleasure to have around, from the people who work directly for JMT Wood to the brilliant subcontractors that he uses. JMT Wood went above and beyond to convert my unused cold garage into a stunning warm room.
Jody and his colleagues made recommendations based on my original design which had a huge impact on the end result at a minimal cost. It wasn't just about getting the job done on time and to budget, but about getting it done right with all the finishing touches. I recently bought my home as a 'project house'. The property had been tenanted for years with no maintenance and a previous owner was a 'builder' who had done sub standard work throughout. The first main job, which JMT Wood Build undertook, involved rebuilding a small side extension which had previously been used as an en-suite shower room and storage area.The flat metal roof was tired and leaking, the en-suite shower had been disconnected and the external door was rotten. Headed by Jody, The JMT Wood Build team, built a new pitched roof, extended the side wall, added a new gutter (with soak away), and fitted a high quality external door. The rebuilt extension looks great and the work has been done to a very high standard. JMT Wood Build have transformed and enhanced this area of my house. They have left me in the best position to work on the inside of this extension - in due course I will put in a new shower room and storage area. The extra space that comes with the longer and higher extension is of great use to me.The JMT Wood Build team were friendly, pleasant and polite, always answering any questions I had, whilst offering advice on how I could approach other jobs around my home.I was always able to contact Jody throughout, who made sure I was happy with the finished work (which I am).My two aims with the house are to put right previous work and to get the house to meet its potential.
