We contacted Dan to build a shed. It was being delivered on a Thursday. My boyfriend was going to be away so I thought it would be nice for someone else to build it and for him to come home and it all be up. We spent nearly £3000 on this shed so wanted it doing properly. After contacting Dan he assured us he can do it in a day. Read his reviews etc and we booked him.

Dan came on the day expected and it was built. Dan and his work partner were lovely. Put me at ease when I got home and said everything was going okay, he was really polite too. We did have an issue with the instructions but he said it ‘was going well’. We had sent photos so he knew what it needed to look like etc. All reviews on the sheds company said it went together really well.
There was a bit of wood left over but given the problem with the instructions we thought it was extra wood sent and it was the shed company’s mistake.

When my boyfriend got home on the Sunday night. He noticed a couple of things like the felt at the top being put on the wrong way and not secured well. He just said he can buy some more and re do it no problems. Then the next day he started looking closer and found that Dan and his partner had put the floor down first and put the side walls on top of the flooring meaning that when it rained the water would come down the side and into the shed. The door wasn’t level and didn’t close properly. Dan did tell me this was because it was new. The rafters that the shed is built on top of are not equally distanced. There are a few other small bits too.

We messaged Dan on the Sunday night just to let him know and too see if he would offer to come back and help us out to right the wrongs. It’s now 6 days later. We still haven’t had any contact from him. We have spent every night after work rebuilding and putting bits back together. And we also had rain to contend with. So as you can imagine completely taking the roof back off was a nightmare.

Dan was absolutely lovely and drove an hour out of his way to build me my son’s climbing frame. Absolutely lovely guy who I’ll be having back to decorate my living room for me. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly highly recommended! More...

Like all the other reviews Dan was really friendly, got on with the job and was clean and tidy in his work. Can't wait to have him back for other jobs! Would definitely recommend.
