Clinical Psychology Practice: Dr Doherty has 15 years experience in delivering CBT, ACT, and Integrative psychotherapy for common psychological difficulties and relationship issues.

Alongside his private work Rich has been a specialist psychologist at St Thomas Hospital for 10 years, and has been the head of the sleep, headache and ICU psychology departments.

Dr Rich is a wonderful therapist! He helped me a lot and since we started our sessions I can really see a difference in myself. He has plenty of techniques to help me understand my feelings, my threats and find ways to fix all these. I can now much easier identify how I feel and why I feel this way. I feel stronger in my day-life and I feel that I manage to fight and get over many threats that I had from the past. Rich has really a great way of explaining things and giving examples. Rich has provided the most tailored, insightful and effective therapy which I believe will have long-lasting benefit. This is due to his extensive experience and training across segments of mental health, his genuine curiosity and problem-solving enthusiasm which is infectious for the patient. He does not wallow, he does not preach things he wouldn’t believe would work, regardless of theory, but focuses instead on a structured approach to discovery (what), rationale (why), impact mitigation (band aid) whilst working on behavioural change which absolves the need for the mitigation.

If you have a personal challenge which you’re not able to get on top of yourself, I can’t recommend Rich more as a partner to help you help you on that journey.

I wanted to run a clinic focused on reducing distress not just listening and supporting. I also wanted to run a clinic that recognised these skills but didn't over charge people so the fee is £110 per session with no hidden costs or commitment.
