How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
90% of garages I have come across are suitable for a garage conversion straight. The main things to look out for are the materials used in your existing garage as asbestos, rotting timbers etc. will slow the process, rising damp will cause other issues.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
first of all we strip back all the bear walls to make sure any moulds/damp isn't an issue then we proceed to weather proof and insulate the walls/floor with the specific insulation we would have discuss with the client. From there we board and deck the walls and floors before any specifics the client has asked for
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
if the client has a factory made roof 'truss roof' then it'll need to be a specifically designed truss for a loft conversion. 90% of hand cut roofs I have come across are suitable for a loft conversion.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
depending on the spec of loft conversion and the planned drawings its hard to state the order of process. everything is carried out to the letter of the building regs
What do you love most about your job?
I starting in construction 20 years ago and I have always enjoyed the technical side of designing, learning and building.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Its the natural progression of life in the industry. I worked my way up from labourer to supervisor with hard work and understanding of the industry. once I had my family I started seeing things differently.

Our specialist work is in carpentry. With kitchen fit outs, new structural floor joists, stud walling for room division, flooring, skirting/architrave, internal doors, bespoke/fitted wardrobes, loft conversions, garage conversions and everything in between.
