Beautiful beach with wonderful views of the local seaside up to Bexhill and Hastings,there's always a good small distance between toilets and most of the days theres always space,this is also a great place for watching the yearly airshow,there is a skate park and other local parks nearby, egs. Princes Park,another upside is the separation of the bike lane and foot lane, also, several attractions,like around town centre you can find the wish Tower,the pier,the ferris wheel and there are also several events,like bonfires and fireworks,reccomend for sure More...

My first visit (July) and it was fantastic. Stayed at Albert and Victoria 5⭐ guest house and it was luxurious, best sleep in years and a 3 minute walk to the prom. Walked alongside the pebble beach and onto the pier. Sea was brilliantly blue and sparkling, swimmers, canoeists, jet-skis and yachts, all made it interesting. Stayed ages on the pier and between sun, sea and breeze, I felt really energised and healthy. The town was only a short walk further and was buzzing with cafes and shops doing brisk business. It looked quite continental with trees and planters and palms along the walkways. I enjoyed delicious beautifully presented large fish (cod fillet) and chips, mushy peas, lemon, bloomer bread and butter plus unlimited coffee/ tea/chocolate in Wetherspoons for £10.49 then retired to sit and people watch on one of the many seats along the promenade facing out to sea I travelled by train from Guildford on a concession ticket booked in advance to get a cheaper fare. I intend to return in the Spring and explore more of the area. There's a bus going to and from Brighton so that sounds good and as I have a bus pass it's free bus travel. Excellent in every respect. You won't be disappointed. Plenty of places to stay with a prices to suit all pockets. More...

A nice beach for a day out, it's a rocky beach so not ideal for those who like sand but still easy to access. Nearest parking is the NCP building, about 5 minutes walk away.
