I had been attending Claire's pilates classes for just over a year when I fell pregnant. Having known Claire had prenatal and postnatal qualifications in fitness I was keen to continue with my pilates journey. Claire is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, explaining how each move or exercise will help with pregnancy and even labour! As my pregnancy develops, Claire has adapted the exercises to ensure I get full benefit and that both baby and myself are safe. The use of different equipment makes each week fresh and interesting. I would absolutely recommend Claire to any expectant or new mum. I know I will be continuing with my pilates journey with Claire's help after the arrival of my baby. More...

I started pre-natal Pilates with Claire once in my second trimester of pregnancy, and have absolutely loved her class each week. Throughout my pregnancy I have had various aches and pains and Pilates has been brilliant in helping relieve these, and in building up my core and pelvic floor strength. I really love the use of different apparatus and each week feels fresh and interesting. Claire is extremely knowledgable in explaining the exercises she chooses and why they are particularly useful for expectant mothers. She has also adapted the exercises we do to suit the stage of pregnancy we are at, so it feels very safe and supported. Her relaxed and calm manner and the atmosphere she creates in the classes are a weekly moment of peace and serenity that I really treasure! Personal Trainers

I have been attending PT sessions with Claire for around a month since 29/01/2024 (attending just over 10 sessions together) and I can honestly say these sessions have been a game changer for me!

I can say I am definitely noticing a difference not only physically but mentally too.

Claire has vast knowledge regarding exercises to work specific areas of the body and furthermore, importantly advises and supports with perfecting your form, which for me has been a struggle in the past.

Claire really gets to know you, as an individual and greeted with such a warm welcome each time and I can always say I feel thoroughly supported in each session and come aware feeling positive and motivated in my fitness journey. Most importantly, Claire makes exercising fun and enjoyable with her brilliant sense of humour!

These sessions have really helped my self-confidence and generally increasing my positive self-talk. I have further learnt how to fuel my body properly with the right foods and nutrition.

I have really noticed such a positive impact that these sessions have had physically and mentally and would highly recommend Claire 💪🏻

I started Pilates with Claire over 2 years ago because of severe pain in my hip and lack of mobility. After a few months I noticed less pain and increasing strength. Now, after two years I have no pain at all on my hip and my strength and mobility has significantly improved. I now attend all of Claire's Classes that I can get to so do Pilates, Boot Camp and aerobics. For someone who hates to exercise and usually gives up after a few months, this has been a revelation. I've been attending Hit and Abs twice a week to get me fit! In a few weeks I've gone from no abs to using my abs and the difference in me is amazing. Claire is fantastic!! I have been working with her for 3 years now. I started with PT classes, then COVID hit yet she persevered and adapted her teaching methods due to circumstances. I then had a major operation yet I reached out and she knew exactly what I needed and listened to how I was feeling and did everything to accommodate my recovery. She has changed my life for the better … everything I think I can’t do I can … because of her belief in me, because she pushes me and because of how amazing she is. I joined her first Pilates retreat in Wales and it was incredible, the group was a great mix, the classes were brill, despite being vegan all weekend I was pleasantly surprised and have continued some of the eating habits. I can’t wait until next years retreat and love working with her to achieve my goals … well-being, fitness, care for self and life style changes.

I’ve had the pleasure of attending many of Claire’s classes, including corporate pilates, Fit treats, PT and Cardio Burn. I always enjoy a workout with Claire . She pushes you hard, whilst ensuring that you use correct form and posture and always has great music to compliment the workout. Claire is very friendly and makes you feel very welcome. I always feel uplifted and energised after a class with Claire (even after I’ve fallen asleep during yoga nidra 😆). Highly recommend and will definitely be back for more! More...

Personal training and pilates with Claire has completely changed how I feel about my body.
I’ve gained both in strength and confidence since training with Claire and know that she’s focused on me - ensuring that I’m training at a level that’s right for me, but is also challenging me to achieve more that I think I can.

And what a treat it was! Claire and the team ensured we all had a fabulous day from beginning to end. I can't say I wasn't a bit apprehensive about attending, whether my abilities would suit the exercises but Claire made sure no-one would feel like this and there were adaptations for each exercise . I did the 6 week Trim & Burn course with Claire. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking to improve their fitness and tone up. After six weeks I feel so much better and have visible results. I also feel much more confident in what I can do and what I can achieve in the future. Doing 2 sessions a week was a really great way to keep the momentum up and start a new good habit. Claire is amazing. She knows when to push you to achieve a new goal but also when to modify things if you aren't feeling so great. I started by being able to do a plank for about 20 seconds and on my last session I could do it for 1 minute. I genuinely looked forward to all my sessions and had a good laugh. More...

Over the last 6 years I’ve struggled to find a competent Pilates teacher in the Oxford area. I tried Claire’s Thursday evening class Autumn 2021, and became a regular ever since. Class sizes are small which means Claire can really focus on individuals needs. Claire knows how to push you enough so that each session you can see progress in your own abilities. I did the 6-week trim and burn programme with Claire and it was just the boost I needed to get back into enjoying exercise and seeing the effects after 3 kids and no motivation for a few years. I was looking to lose weight and get stronger and feel fitter and the programme did all of these. Claire is so supportive and it’s easy to see she genuinely cares that you get to your end goal. It’s not an exaggeration to say that Claire has changed my life for the better. I wasn’t expecting to feel so much more energetic and genuinely look forward to each session so much. I cannot recommend enough. I have now finished my 6 week face to face sessions but continued to have a programme provided by Claire for me to carry on at home as I loved it so much. I do Pilates with Claire Hunt on a Tuesday evening and being a woman in my late 50s and not so flexible and carrying extra pounds, I have found Claire to be a totally brilliant instructor. She is supportive and encouraging, giving me tips and pointers all the time to help me. She has an amazing sense of humour making her classes a complete joy.

I didn’t think Pilates was for me but Claire has made me love it and I know I am improving. Just thank you Claire 😊

SmartPilates provided an excellent well-being and stress management approach to bringing a team through a restructure. Corporate well-being objectives were exceeded and the team benefited from a combination of exercise, meditation and relaxation planning and expertise over a 12 week period. No absence or sickness was reported over the well-being period. Would highly recommend Claire, an engaging practitioner who always goes an additional mile to meet or exceed corporate expectations. I have had both personal training sessions with Claire and attend her pilates classes. She is a really good teacher, able to identify your needs and modify exercises for your needs whilst helping you to improve.
Classes are a lot of fun with a relaxed atmosphere.

I really enjoy working with Claire. I’m not looking to do anything crazy or train for a particular event, just general fitness and well-being and Claire understands that. She pushes me so that I’m always making progress but in a way that is encouraging and motivating. I also attend Claire’s Pilates class which I really enjoy.

Claire was honest, reliable and filled with fitness experience and knowledge. Pregnancy Pilates and Fitness. The pregnancy Pilates and fitness sessions carefully prepared and executed by Claire are absolutely brilliant. What can I say about Claire, well, she's AMAZING! I highly recommend her, book now!
I've had 1:1 sessions with her for just over 4 months and I have thoroughly enjoyed them all, apart from the first Tabata session we did, really didn't like that but came to sort of love them!
Claire takes time at the beginning to fully understand what you want out of your sessions and is professional, friendly, patient and motivational. All sessions are different and aimed at you achieving your goals, she fully explains and demonstrates techniques to you and her beady eye doesn't miss anything, so you definitely get the most out of every session.

It's a combination of regular structured exercise, a good diet, plenty of sleep and limiting stressors.

Watching a client progress and feel great about themselves!

I didn't want to be stuck to specific hours or locations of working so I can be flexible with clients as well as with my life.

I am understanding, motivating and a complete professional. I have an open and honest approach and love what I do. I am not a miracle worker but if a client is committed to working on themselves with me and by themselves then they will see changes.

Yes I am able to do zoom sessions where necessary.

I work in halls where sanitation is crucial and we have steps to follow as the hirer.
At my home studio I use sanitiser on all equipment every time and keep it well ventilated.
Once a week I have a deep clean of the whole area.

Services

I am able to provide pre and Post Natal training to clients.
I understand the adaptations required to work with women in both Pre and Post Natal situations.

I offer mat based Pilates classes. These will assist with core strength, lumbar and thoracic spine strength and mobility. These can be one to one or group. I currently offer these as one to one or group sessions online and face to face.

Offering bodyweight and light weights to improve core strength. Use of stability ball, weighted balls and d shaped foam rollers to increase balance, ankle stabilisation and spine strength and mobility.

No heavy weights, bodyweight and special focus on core and stabilisation. Some HIIT training for cardio vascular fitness and mat based for general fitness.

Day retreats full of absolute bliss. Movement, food and like-minded people.

Weekend retreats in beautiful locations with classes, therapies, walks, healthy fresh food and total R&R.
