Capoeira in York Community (CIYC) is a non-profit association create in 2013 to promote and support the art of capoeira. Capoeira is a complete art combining movements, martial arts, acrobatics, music, singing and Brazilian culture. It is very good for developing coordination and confidence.

Services

Mixed level adults classes (+14yo; accompanied if younger than 16yo) every Monday and Thursday evenings in York. Taught by Guardioes Brasileiros York. All levels welcome.
Free taster class available.
¬ Mondays from 7pm at Uni of York (room varies; contact* us)
¬ Thursdays from 7.30pm at The Railway Institute sports centre (YO24 1AD, next to York train station) -

**Our kids classes run during school terms and are suitable for children from 5yo.

We currently have 2 classes on Sunday mornings (school terms) at the Melbourne Centre, York:
* class 1 (5-9 yo) 10am-11am
* class 2 (10-14yo) 11.15am-12.15pm

Instructors are DBS checked and fully insured .
