Calibre groundworks and paving

Had Joe begin our garden August 2023. It started off very well and having had 2 other quotes by other companies we decided to go with Joe bearing in mind he was not the cheapest out of all 3 quotes! A payment plan was agreed upon, consisting of a large deposit and then 4 equal payment each week but the last payment not being made until all works had been completed and we were happy. Well, Joe received the deposit and 3 out of the 4 payments within 4 weeks of the work beginning. After that the job was dragged out and he began to not show up when he said he would. October he then asked for a further £1500 due to “incurred extra costs” this was reluctantly given to him. After that payment he stopped showing up and we was told he had taken on a “site job” in total Joe received £28410 and we are now in April 2024 and the job is still not completed. Tiles had been laid poorly and were lifting within months of being laid, and he returned after being threatened with legal action to relay them. After numerous going back and forth again! And again threatening legal action we are sat waiting. The job has still not been completed. The amount of stress this person has caused has dumbfounded us. I would not recommend anyone use this company and I hope he doesn’t continue to treat people this way! More...

Shocking disrespect for customers. We reorganised a weekend in order to accommodate this company. They never turned up and have not returned any calls.
