After being hugely let down by a well known and established double glazing and doors specialist I was ready to give up but Buy Your Own Doors was recommended on a local Facebook group and I am SO glad I went with them. The communication, personal service and ownership by everyone in the team has been amazing. Tony gave us fantastic advice when choosing our doors and never tried to up-sell or dazzle us with ‘amazing discounts’. He talked us through what to expect and gave us a no nonsense pricing structure which was straightforward and transparent. We googled new front doors and this company came up first on the search.As they were local to us we popped into the shop at Brunstane Bank to have a look at the quality etc. Mike who was on shift couldn't have been more helpful so we agreed to purchase and picked our bespoke new door Around lunchtime Viv called and organised the home survey for that afternoon and gave us an installation date. Steve turned up on time and did the home survey.On the agreed installation date Steve again turned up on time and had completed the installation, tidied and hoovered up after himself and it was finished to a very high standard.Incidentally we changed our minds on a couple of things like the adding of a door knocker at a very late stage but again nothing was a problem.From our first visit with Mike then Viv and finally Steve they are all a credit to themselves and the company.We were going on holiday which we did mention at installation time and the day after we returned a bouquet of flowers was delivered to our home from BYOD's which basically summed up this company for us.They care, they are honest, and they really do go the extra mile and i would recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic new front door. I was kept updated by Viv at all times and the installer was clean and tidy , a real old fashioned craftsmen. This is not a hard sell company, which was important to us after having spoken to a few companies who had a good product but when it came to a quote they started incredibly high but were able to come down and down and down, so you never felt that their “quote” was honest. The quote we were given from here was competitive and final.The windows arrived when we were expecting them. The work was done with the minimum mess and When I arrived home from work each night I was impressed by how tidy my house had been left by the fitters.I cannot say there were no glitches but they were small and not of their making and they were dealt with in a quick and efficient manner.
