We could not recommend this little slice of heaven more, after having a small wedding here on Thursday. Joanna is the most perfect host, attentive but not intrusive, supportive, friendly and knowledgeable. The whole process from booking, to the day has been completely stress free and the day could not have been more perfect. The vineyard is so beautiful and secluded we could have been anywhere in the world. The supplies Joanna uses and recommends were equally as amazing and we honestly could not have asked for more. I just wanted to say how enjoyable our recent visit to Brickhouse vineyard was. We wanted to find a suitable place to do a more sophisticated bridal party activity and wine and cheese tasting was just the thing! From the start the booking was seamless with Brickhouse vineyard demonstrating excellent service up to the event. The day did not disappoint! The surroundings are stunning, the tasting room is beautiful, charming with great space and finally the wine and cheese were just delicious. Having done many wine tastings over the years what really stands Brickhouse apart from the rest is their personable approach. Joanne, one of the owners, was exceptional throughout our tasting. She provided us all with interesting personable information on the vineyard itself and the techniques used throughout the tasting. Her warmth, knowledge and passion was infectious. The personal touches and generosity shown through out the day - letting us try more wine than we ever thought we would be trying, really made us feel very special. We had our winter wedding at Brickhouse Vineyard and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! Joanna was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process which went a long way to helping us feel very relaxed in the run up to our big day. The lighting was perfect and festive, the brilliant photographer (Mimosa photography) was able to catch some beautiful photos, the canapes and cake (and wine of course) were delicious and the location in the depths of the Devon countryside is breath taking. We visited the roundhouse in summer and it was incredibly beautiful but even with the torrential rain we had on our day, the Roundhouse was cozy, intimate and romantic so this venue is definitely exemplary all year round whatever the weather. I had a fantastic time at the wreath making class last night, the florist was really lovely and informative, and I’m so pleased with the wreath I made. After an evening of listening to Christmas tunes, covetously staring at the beautiful Christmas tree and ending with a delicious home made mince pie and generous glass of sherry, I’m now fully in the Christmas spirit! The host Jo was warm and friendly and very knowledgable about the cheeses and wines offered during the session, and the fact that two of the wines I drank were from the vineyard itself make it the reason I would absolutely recommend/insist a visit here!
