I have eaten here many times in the restaurant and at a few events held here including the Halloween ghost stories which was amazing with so much effort put into it. The food is always excellent and of Very high quality and locally sourced. The staff are always friendly and attentive and always have a smile on their faces. I also stayed here at the weekend and the rooms are amazing and of a good size and are very clean and finished to a very high spec. With little extras in the room that make the stay more pleasant And to top it off you have two amazing hosts in Michael and Hayley who make your visit one to remember. We stayed at The Lawrence for our wedding night and it was just perfect! The room was gorgeous, just as glamorous as it looked in the pictures! The staff had put in loads of lovely little touches, like fresh fruit, champagne and bride and groom sweets for us, which was such a lovely way to finish our evening! The breakfast was great too! Oh and the dog, Hetti, is so ridiculously cute and friendly! We loved her! The owner was really pleasant and chatty. Just a really nice guy. We ate on a lovely summers evening outside, we had three courses which were amazing, especially the lamb main! The staff were very attentive but not pushy and very efficient. The staff were absolutely outstanding nothing was too much trouble for them. Polite and friendly throughout. We booked Sunday lunch and it was fantastic value and the best roast dinner we’ve had, as none of us liked cauliflower cheese except my husband he ate the dish to himself and said it was the best he’d ever had! Could not have asked for a better place for my Mum & Stepdad for their anniversary. They have talked none stop about the hotel since their stay on Saturday night. I booked it for them and had no clue what it would be like i just went off the pictures on the website. When i went to collect them for their surprise party i got a quick tour and wow it was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and from what i have been told from my parents and the glimpse i saw, i would recommend the hotel to anyone. Surprise Ginema experience this evening for my birthday. Michael went above and beyond to deliver this, food on arrival and kept a group of adults and children happy. Super Sunday Lunch here today for my Husband and I. 3 Course set menu - Fabulous Vintage Themed decor (stylish not tacky!) Loved the Luggage Reception Desk, Art work in Entrance hall and the old pieces of furniture & dining chairs . Staff friendly, attentive and nothing seems too much trouble. Nice to see Michael the Owner pitching in, talking to clients which demonstrates management who really care. Food came timely and hot, despite a full dining room.
