How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
The first step is to see what overall height and floor area you have to work with, you then need to consider what type of roof construction is present as existing, trussed rafters or cut roof, this will determine whether its possible to convert the space. There are many ways to convert a loft its finding out what suits your property, your intended use for the space and ultimately your budget.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Initial no obligation site visit to meet with the clients to discuss the project brief and see the existing space in order to provide a tailored fee quote to undertake the works.
Once instructed, visit site to survey the existing building in order to prepare an existing package of drawings.
Prepare preliminary scheme drawings based on the client brief for further discussion.
Develop design up to an agreed layout.
Prepare & submit any Local authority planning packages if required.
Develop proposed design up to building regulation approval stage.
Assist with project tendering to approved contractors & Project management as required throughout the scheme.
