Absolutely stunning gardens. Beautiful hotel, tasteful decor and very polite, friendly staff especially in the bar and restaurant. Great food, loved the room and bathroom. If I had a criticism it would be that the mirror above the dressing table is too high. Ladies would get this.....sat at the table to do hair and make up and could only see the top of my head ( and I’m tall). Would definitely return. More...

From start to finish our “celebration package” was fab! The room was amazing we were upgraded to the luxury king which had a bath in the middle. .amazing. We ended up staying at Barnett Hill after my Husband and I were informed that the hotel we (and our wedding guests!) were meant to be staying in over the weekend of our wedding was closing down, and at very short notice! Initially we thought that this was simply a disaster, but I cannot describe how glad we were after discovering Barnett Hill. When we viewed the hotel in back in January it had a lovely, warm, antique feel to it, with lots of deep colours and dark woods - by the time we came back in May for our wedding the decor had been modernised and lightened considerably and yet it still maintained it's enchanting 'oldy-worldy' elegance. Nicola was very accommodating from the moment we contacted her, to wishing us well on our honeymoon on our departure. She was so very helpful, especially considering the short notice of our requested booking. We stayed in the stunningly re-furbished Bridal Suite, which was perfect for my uninterrupted yoga on the morning of our wedding and wonderful to wake up to with breakfast in bed the morning after. The views from our room spanned the entire gardens! In addition to our stay, we also had arranged a private evening meal for our wedding guests the night before the wedding, and a late bar for our wedding guests to return to after our wedding had finished. Throughout, the service was impeccable and the staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and couldn't do more to help. This will be one of the best places to stay once all the work is completed. We had a great time and the rooms are just what you deserve after a long week at work. Food is not too fussy ( and I am ! ) Drink prices are fair and the staff just could not do more for you. If it is wet take full use of the wellies by the front door. Could of done with umbrellas. We had a lovely afternoon here yesterday. My sister bought 2 groupon teas for two. My sister & I both took our daughter's and the four of us had a wonderful afternoon. Had a fab time, friendly staff, beautiful grounds and attentive service. A nice place to get away from it. The only thing to moan about is the room was cold when we arrived, but this was soon sorted when we put a call through to reception. Evening dinner by a roaring fireplace, with the whole dining room to ourselves, beautiful food and whilst it sprinkled snow outside, was quite indeed magical. Barnett Hill is such a fantastic wedding venue. Gary and I got married there last September and the day from beginning to end was so perfect. Stunning gardens (luckily we had a beautiful sunny day) the building itself is gorgeous, and the staff were incredible. The food is fantastic. Gary and I visited a few times before the wedding and each time loved what we had. A big thank you to Rebecca, Nicola and Zoe who made the whole process throughout the planning period and during the day itself so seamless. Truly professional and made our day feel so special. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We fell in love with Barnett Hill the minute we stepped through the door and to us it was no contest compared to other venues. If you are looking for a wedding venue, look no further you will not be disappointed! We are heading back to Barnett Hill next week for an afternoon tea and can't wait to be back! :) More...

Steve and I held our entire wedding here in December last year. Right from the moment we walked in we loved Barnett Hill, so much so we never bothered looking at any other venue. The staff were amazing, reassuring us every step of the way. When it came to the day of our wedding the venue was decorated exactly as I had imagined it,with the staff staying up to the small hours to ensure everything was in place as I requested, nothing was too much trouble.
