AKA Party Band

AKA played our wedding just over a week ago and all of our guests have been complementing them on how good they were! They got everyone on the dance floor and played a great mixture of songs for everyone! We have known Matt and the AKA gang since July 2016 when they put on a brilliant performance at a charity ball I organised. So when we got engaged in October 2016 it was a no-brainer that they would be our band for the day. This was certainly the easiest decision we made in the whole wedding planning and a perfect choice indeed!It has been a complete pleasure to work with AKA again. Matt is super organised and makes the whole planning so much easier with his wealth of knowledge and expertise ... and a great sense of humour too! We feel that not only did we have a band for the day we also had a part time wedding planner supporting us in the build up.On the day the guys were nothing short of amazing! We booked the acoustic duo for the ceremony and its safe to say that Rose and Matt performing Kodaline's The One had everyone crying from the start. They did a perfect and unique version of a special song and a moment I will never forget. The brilliant thing about having the acoustic duo for the entrance music meant we also had them for signing of the register and our exit song - everyone loved singing along to Stevie Wonder as we walked out - I certainly danced my way out!There was no rest for Matt and Rose as they went straight into performing as the acoustic duo for our drinks reception. This was the perfect backing for drinks and canapés for our guests.Matt did an incredible job with all of the lights and tech side of things - we chose to have extra up-lighters in the reception room which Matt seamlessly coordinated with the venue. Thats the great thing about AKA they just get on with things and are super professional - leaving you to enjoy your event while they link in with your venue, just what you need on your wedding day!AKA certainly know how to start the party and our wedding was no exception to that - they perfectly performed our first dance giving us a spine-tingling, beautiful moment. Then seamlessly blending into a mashup and alternative first dance we had choreographed - it was exactly as we imagined and had everyone hooping and cheering! They kept the dance floor buzzing all night and I just remember beaming as all our favourite songs were played.If you're looking for a professional, super talented and fun band for your event then look no further than Matt and the AKA gang. I can't praise and thank this band highly enough, they really did make our day. They were fun and incredibly easy to work with and had everyone dancing from the very first song. Big love and thanks AKA!

Absolutely brilliant, can't speak highly enough of this band. From performing our first dance which was special to getting everyone up and dancing. I've never been to a function or party where the dance floor was full from the first song but these guys did it.We still have people a week and a half after our wedding eulogising about how good the band were.Would recommend them to anyone for anything. These guys are true professionals, every step of the way we felt supported and as if we were their only client all year. An amazing group with huge talent and respect. Matt's attention to detail was faultless and only outweighed by his and the bands clear love for music and passion for what they do best.
