Very happy I chose Alex (Owner of Air Performance)
I had several quotes from around 6 Air Conditioning companies
I decided to go with AIR Performance base on his assessment of my requirements and his honesty and professional approach.
What do I mean by this ! well I convert a very large double garage into a Gym and separate office, required two Air Cond Units 2.5kw & 3.5kw
The Garage add a very old small consumer unit feeding electrical sockets & lighting.
Alex done a thorough check i.e. the small consumer unit obviously goes back to the Main consumer unit in the House, Alex wanted to ensure all equipment in the Gym & office which was fed from the old consumer unit in the garage & the appliances on the (Ring main) and potentially adding the 2 x Air conditioning units to the same 32amp fuse could potentially overload the circuit if All appliances were taking a load.
All the other companies were just concerned about installing the units & the quotes just talk about providing a switch spur of the Ring Main to feed both units. There was not a great deal difference in all the quotes I received to fit the units, and I do not go for the cheapest quote,
Alex explained all options and was happy to go with what I wanted.
However I also decided to have the additional Wireless Adapters so I can control the units from my smart phone, this was an additional cost with the other companies but there was no additional cost to fit the wireless units.
The route Alex choose to run all the pipework and cables meant going into the loft which meant getting his hands dirty but meant that there was no visible pipework or cables.

The other quotes wanted run all pipe work surface and in trunking which is ok but Alex went the extra mile.

In the End I decided to have the old consumer unit updated and separate 16 amp fuses for the Units. Alex enlisted an electrician to fit the new consumer unit & provided a NICEIC Certificate.

To be honest I had not budgeted for the installation of a new unit and could have decided not to have this done, but I will be honest the extra cost was comparable to the install cost of the units I received from the other companies. More...
