From start to finish we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with our kitchen extension. Which involved knocking two rooms into one and extending out 3m on a Victorian property. Alaa, Gulvinder and his team were real professionals from start to finish. From initial meetings to completion nothing was too much trouble and they really cared about our project, making sure every detail was perfect which is not easy as I am a perfectionist. The standard of work and finish is exceptional. They were very happy to meet with other contractors on the build such as the bi-fold and windows companies and did their very best to accommodate them. Communication was brilliant throughout and they were a pleasure to have around. I have genuinely never seen such hard workers and they were polite clean and tidy and thoughtful about our neighbours needs too. We were on time, on budget and still can’t believe that it’s our kitchen. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone and have been signing their praises to anyone who’ll listen. We are so happy with our downstairs extension. We have had builders, on previous work done, requiring more payment than agreed and threatening to leave the project unfinished so using ABC Constructions provided us with the piece of mind that our project would be completed at the agreed upon price. Alaa and his team managed to successfully complete a big job for us that included a rear extension and a loft conversion. The work was finished on time and didn't go over the agreed budget . What's great about Alaa is his flexibility and his attention to detail. His team is always polite and respectful to our neighbours. How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Depending on the type of building you live in (and most likely, the date it was built), the minimum headroom required by law may differ. As a general rule, 2.2m from floor to ceiling at its highest point is the threshold for undertaking a loft conversion.
